Miles expiring - Can I do this?

Hey Folks,

I have 100k FB miles expiring (I am a nobody on FB). I am a DL Diamond (ST Elite Plus) but I know that this won't help me with FB. My question:

I have a bunch of upcoming trips on DL within the US. Can I delete my DL FF# from one of the records and insert my flying number to extend the life of the FB miles? The FB T&Cs seem to show that if you fly at least one flight on any Skyteam partner every year, that your miles never expire.

I searched the numerous threads on this subject but there was not much current information.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can do this. In my experience with DL, some agents have sometimes problems with removing a frequent flyer number from a file and adding a new one. Don't give up if this happens. Rather ask them to call their internal support libe for advice. It is definitely possible and, once they know how to do it, a one minute thing.
