No you don't. You take the next flight to CDG.

AF 344 CDG 1:40PM YUL 3:15PM 7h 35m Airbus A340

AF 4607 LUX 4:35PM CDG 5:35PM 1h 0m Embraer ERJ-145 Layover in CDG 1h 35m
AF 348 CDG 7:10PM YUL 8:25PM 7h 15m Boeing 777

If you really want, you can overnight in Paris. I do this sometimes and have dinner with friends, but usually on the return leg. There is no/little price change to do it.

@Goldorak: yes you're right :D I meant the 747-400

@bankops: I actually booked yesterday evening the exact flight you mentioned (the first one) and for the return flight, I'm flying JFK-CDG on the 777 and got 3K and 3L seats so it should hopefully be a peaceful flight.

Thanks a lot for your help guys, I had a really hard time deciding. LX turned out to be 300 € more expensive (there was a solution at the same price than AF but with Edelweiss Air which was out of the question :rolleyes:) and with a 6-hour stopover on the return flight from JFK.
