Kenya Airways now charging for advance seat assignments?
I have a Kenya Airways itinerary booked for travel next month and had pre-reserved my usual exit row seats 15F. Last week, I noticed that the seat assignments had disappeared for all 4 sectors and I was unable to get them back online.
I emailed KQ Customer Service to enquire about this and this was the response. "Please be advised that the emergency exit seat cannot be pre-booked unless you go in person to the airport. There's also a fee to be paid." Anyone else have experience with this new policy? How much? Which seats? How much in advance? Etc... |
Maybe only for exit-row seats? Seems common nowadays to charge for that.
For general seating selection I don't assume so. |

Row 7-10 might be for reserved for Elites if it's the front of Y.

It appears that there is some sort of new policy in place regarding exit row seating, but an escalation to a supervisor has now resulted in my ASRs being honoured. So all is well.
