AF/KL says hello to ALTEA DC

AF/KL's migration to ALTEA DC has been successfuly launched, with AF455/25OCT GRU-CDG being the first flight to be processed with Altea DC CM.

GRU is the first station to receive the new system. Other stations will follow with CDG/ORY being the last one around end of 2013.

Sorry for not being familiar with the all the abbreviations, I am usually at the other end of the c/i and gate desks :-)

Is this the long awaited IT upgrade that will, a.o. - perhaps? - give a bit more structure to processing of op-ups?

I believe it is the new DCS (departure control system) that will gradually replace Gaetan at AF as well as KL's current system; it is provided by Amadeus; Altea DC CM stands for Altea Departure Control - Customer Management, one of the components of the DCS.
