Upgrades on code-shares?
Hi everyone!
AF-operated flight, CDG->ICN (AF264 / KE5902) KE-issued ticket, full Y FB platinum Does the fact that the ticket was bought from KE (not AF) play against me for my upgrade chances? Even though I'm FBPE flying on AF metal, and having paid a full Y fare? Thanks! |
I have seen it go both ways. They will see the full Y and in the crazy ways the AF system 'thinks' it might even give you an advantage if you are on KE code.
|
I think you have less chance having a KE ticket compared to AF tickets holders, because AF gets less money from you in your case.
But you still have a very small chance ;) |
Just KE issued ticket, or flight with KE code? KE issued ticket should make no difference, KE flight code would play against you (a lot).

Absolutely, you are right to make this important precision. Only the flight number counts (AF- or KE-coded). Ticket issuing airline has no importance.
It's pretty weird: on kayak, one-way seats on that particular flight are over 4000 USD on AF, and 800 USD on KE. Hence the KE ticket for me. I'll let you know how it works out for me! |
That probably also depends on how each flights/quotas (AF/KE) are overbooked
Holding a KE ticket on a KE operating flight which is leaving from CDG but having an AF FFP probably does not help that much... |
