Editor reminds me of one of my first external examinor jobs where colleagues seemed to believe that anyone able to write their candidate number without mistake deserve a merit or above

Insideflyer's reviews are always false-positive, even praised A-Club despite all our feedback.
Suspiciously asking us to list 'the good and bad' points, as if looking for someone/anyone to quote a 'good' point from the feedback. Needs to keep advertizers happy?

I really don't know what to make of the "Our Rating" nonsense; they must have some kind of internal criteria that are different than ours! Possibly "how much have KL spent on Webflyer ads this quarter" figured in there somehow.
That said, it's easy to see the huge disparity between the ratings of actual members and those at the magazine, which is telling. It's also possible to vote down at the bottom of the article. A-hem.

Indeed the website derives revenues from advertising.
I checked over a dozen ratings of FFPs on their website, and FB is the lowest. So, it is not a good rating in relative terms.

very strange piece indeed
Not entirely sure what the piece on FB is supposed to achieve. It seems to simply detail what the programme involves, without any kind of assessment. Strikes me that most of it is a minor re-write of material from the AFKLM websites.

I did a comparison of the 3 programs I use, and I agree with the relative order obtained.
It is interesting to note that members always rate their program lower than WebFlyer, by a quite identical margin (-30%-40%). So the Webflyer “bias” does not change the relative order of the programs:
1 - Lufthansa Miles More: 9.00 / 6.33. Difference: -30%
2 - BA Executive Club: 8.00 / 4.89. Difference: -39%
3- Flying Blue : 7.29 / 4.29. Difference: -41%
Flying Blue is the worst of the 3, thanks to the April fool's "improvements".

Some ratings are very old (2004) and not relevant today. But their experts rate most programs between 7.5 and 8.5 (I checked the recent ratings of two dozen FFPs ). So one has to adjust to the scale: getting 7.29 is really bad.
