First time on AF Espace Premiere

I just booked my first award ticket in First Class on PAR-YUL-PAR. It is also my first trip in l'Espace Premiere on AF. Can anyone give me any feedback on this route, service, seat to avoid, etc .. ?

Cheers

Before we begin, I will ask you two questions.

You traveling as a single or a couple?

If it's the Premiere, it would be their 777-300ER. Too bad Air France can't provide their seat maps with as much details compared to BA, CX or QF.

If you're traveling as a single, it's better off if you go with 1A or 2A seats if you want less distractions. 1L or 2L are also good seats for single travellers, but it's the galley up front especially for 1L, that makes it noisier and the light can distract your sleep too.

The seats themselves are not as private as British Airway's First Class Demi Cabin, but feels roomier though. You can also use the following link to give you an idea of what a professional opinion for the Premiere seat. It's largely due to the lack of height of their partitions.

I am travelling alone and have been assigned seat 02A on CDG-YUL and 02L on YUL-CDG. What about AF lounge in 2E/S3 ?

As mentioned above, AF First totally lacks privacy. I find it very ennoying.
Try to avoid the first row at all cost, especially the righ side: very noisy, as the crew tend to have a party during the night just next to you and you can hear everything they say. Seat 2A and 2L are the best, so you are lucky! Assumin that the seat and video work...
Service is random. It is usually very good on a 777-200 as they only have 4 seats and one dedicated FA (plus periodic help from one FA from Business). The number of FAs on a full F-cabin in 777-300 is insufficient if the flight is full and service is then very slow. Food has improved, wines are generally mediocre (but there is usually one good bordeaux). The F departure service at CDG is generally excellent (although lounge mediocre). From YUL its' business class lounge and no departure service. No arrival service in F at CDG. Alltogether a great experience (if seat/AVOD is working) for only 100K miles award.
