Food was more than acceptable, although the CDG-GIG a couple of days earlier was better. My main complaint is about the menu. Could AF not come up with anything more stylish than thish cheapish looking leaflet with a huge one-page advertisement for some world-wide movers to top it off?
You can consider yourself lucky for HAVING A MENU ONBOARD! On my last AF flights GIG-CDG on business class las March/06 the menus were finished (they forgot the menus in Paris) and we did not even have menus...a complete disaster...

It seems that the catering on these holiday flights from ORY is more limited than the one on regular mainline Air France longhaul fights, even if this is still L'Espace Affaires. Is that indeed the case?

Absolutely right.
No choice of hors d'oeuvre, no choice of desserts and no Espace le Bar available -only drinks and crackers.
No in-seat telephones, no AVOD and no express service.
Before NTC has been introduced in Carribean-Indian Ocean, business class was called Espace Le Club instead of Espace 127. Maybe because the service was different from other international flights.

Indeed, the choice is more limited compared to "true" international Espace Affaire. The menu that was posted above is representative of what you should expect on COI flights.
