Question 'Stretching' a b-class ticket for a part of a multi segment trip onto other segments

'Stretching' a b-class ticket for a part of a multi segment trip onto other segments

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I must make a trip with a rather complicated itinerary in July (I'll be staying for a few days at each stop along the way):

Singapore to Paris then to the U.S. (CT), then back to Paris, then to Tel Aviv, then back to Paris, and finally back to Singapore.

My main interest (beside accumulating miles ) is in trying to use the funding I will get for a business ticket on the SIN-PAR-SIN portion to fly business for other segments (for which I only have funding for coach ).

One solution I thought of was an around the world ticket. I know that most around the world tickets allow you to move in only one direction, but remember reading somewhere that there are some exceptions to that. Could one of those exceptions apply to this type of itinerary? Are there other ideas? Any advice will be appreciated. I am particularly eager to hear of any creative solutions if those exist.

Well...according to Travelocity's fare information, AF unrestricted biz (CRT) SIN-CDG is Around $5000. For the same price, you can buy a restricted (DSGRT) biz ticket SIN-JFK with free stopovers in CDG on both legs, which looks lie it would work perfectly for you.

Not sure who is paying for the ticket and how carefully they will look, but a restricted SIN-CDG in biz can be had for about $3800.

To be honest, I'm not sure what the restrictions are with these tix (they seem very open to me).

In any case, this technically meets your needs, though I'm not sure if there will be availability in those restricted classes in mid-summer.

One good argument, should you need it, is that with the SIN-JFK tix, an open return is permitted, whereas they are not permitted on the SIN-CDG.
