14000 bonus miles + survey (2000 miles)

Air France wrote me today:

"To let you discover our new features and get even more pleasure from the, we would like to make a special offer to you and you alone" http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

6000 additional miles if you make one round-trip* between continental France and Europe )including North Africa)
8000 additional miles if you make one round trip* between continental France and the rest of the world

These offers apply, regardless of your booking class, to your newxt round-trip flight with Air France, between April 15 and September 15 2001**

* or two direct flights
** offers may be combined; each valid one time only

Wow! I am impressed.
Question is - means "may be combined" that I will I get 6000+8000 extra miles for (example) Helsinki-New York-Helsinki round trip? (flights via Paris)
May this bonus be combined with current HEL/STO/GOT-CDG double miles bonus?

In envelope was also questionnaire (6 pages) for 2000 bonus miles.

For the forst question it seems to me that yes, it could.
For the second, I would say no.

It seems that Air France take care about some customers. I send letters and letters, but never got a questionnaire. This would probably help you to like Air France more than I do.

That's great -- will help on my trips to Africa. Is this bonus for any fare?

fokker50 Apr 3, 2001 2:37 pm

Felis, thank you for answer. I am seriously considering going to NYC with AF now (have not been in NYC 2 years). 22244 miles for flying STO-NYC-STO or 22694 for HEL-NYC-HEL - thats as good as it gets I think. HEL-NYC-HEL fares start from 384 USD+tax and from Stockholm from 332 USD+tax.

BlondeBomber, yes, "offers apply regardless of booking class". But it may be a targeted offer, lets say, to very infrequent frequent flyers like me http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif . In letter was stated: "special offer /---/ to you and you alone". Dont know what that means in reality.

Is there a voucher,
or a special code for the reservation ?

fokker50 Apr 4, 2001 2:40 am

No, only remark "to ensure that miles are automatically credited to account, remember to give Frequent Plus Card number each time you make reservation". Number combinations 8/6961, IEUR/01/A, 21152AF/A/IEUR/01 6961 are
withaout explanation also printed to mailing - maybe one of them is promotion code.

You're correct Fokker50, this is a targeted offer, what they call "Marketing Relationship".
Frequent flyers get regular offers.
Unfrequent flyers get attractive offers to ensure their loyalty.

BTW I think this promotion may be combined with the double miles offer.
Just call Frequence Plus (the Swedish number) to double check... and enjoy your trip!

I also got this letter in the mail last week. I am not sure why I got one since I have never been on a AF flight and I have no miles on my card yet. I completed the survey in a few minutes and will send it in. The question is what do you do with 2000 miles?

felis Apr 9, 2001 5:10 am

Nothing http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif
First reaward for a flight is 20 000 (ten sruveys... http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif
A think there is an upgrade inside Europe for 5000, but to be verified.

I also received a survey to fill, I think because I was "Frequence Plus Rouge" until march 31. (now, I am a basic member, because I have ZERO flights with AF in 2000 , my account has still > 100,000 unused miles).

2,000 miles for the survey but ...
only 5,000 (intra-Europe) + 7,000 (transcont.) .
