Price reduction refund on Air France Flex?

I have a flex ticket booked for December for a trip. Booked flex as not 100% positive on time but wanted to have something booked as it’s likely and price wasn’t so different

that said, the flex price went down since I bought.

I couldn’t figure out how to get a refund for the lowered amount on the app or site, so for this time, I cancelled/refunded and rebooked.

is there another trick? I am used to Delta, which lets you do this as change flight modification in the app.

Since it's a flex ticket, can't you cancel to get 100% refund and buy a new cheaper flex ticket?

Keep in mind that you do lose the 10 euro booking fee when cancelling a flex ticket.

Interesting - the amount they refunded me (or said in email) wasn’t lowered by 10. (Online booking)

Yep, definitely can cancel and rebook, but you then have to type in all info for passengers and pick seats again, etc (and old seats are released right away )

not a big deal at all, was just curious as some US carriers let you do this by treating it as a flight change (Delta and American at least)

Depending on where you bought the ticket, there may not have been a booking fee (e.g. the US Air France website doesn't add a booking fee)

Well, luckily European airlines are still different from US airlines.
