Terminal 1 Re-opening

I just got a message from Qatar Airways saying that all their flights will move back to CDG Terminal 1 effective 9 December.

I suppose this means several airlines currently operating out of 2E (not Qatar) will now move as well and make the terminal less crowded …

Interesting, but of all airlines, the one which has definitely no chance of being affected/moving there is AF

Thank you - missed the announcement.

Interesting how at least two of the carriers now operating from 2E (and using the Air France lounges) are not moving according to this list - Thai and Gulf …

In fact it's more complicated than that
T1 is indeed reopening soon, but at the same time some renovation will start in 2A/2C/2D so there will be a big shuffle of airlines between terminals for some months. Here is the full details per airlines with the date of change.
https://www.parisaeroport.fr/passage...ennes-pariscdg
https://thetravelersclub.boardingare...du-terminal-1/

Therefore, with 2A/2C and 2D closed from mid-january, we'll miss a lot of terminal capacity in 2023 and we can expect crowded terminals for some more months (years ?)
