Air France US Call Center Disconnects Calls
I have an upcoming FC flight on AF, and I'm trying to call them to sort out which frequent flyer program to credit (I put in my DL Skypesos number, but I decided I want to credit my AF FB account instead).
When I call the toll free US number, I get a message saying that since the wait time is >45 minutes, the call will be disconnected, and...I'm then disconnected.
Is this normal for AF? Is there a number I can call where someone will talk to me? I cannot change the FF# online on my reservation; if I could, I would, and I'd skip the call center. There seems to be no first class or premium option on the phone menu, and I'm beginning to wonder if I should just cancel my ticket and re-book it with the correct FF#, but again, I cannot seem to cancel or change a reservation without calling AF. And they disconnect me.
Anyone have any tips for how to reach a human being?

If this is a First Class flight, you should be able to call the La Premiere line - it's a French number (+33) but that's what Skype or Google Voice are for.
Otherwise, I believe that if you pull up your reservation on the AirFrance app (iOS, not sure about Android) while you are logged into your FB account, it will over-write your FFN in the reservation. For many people this is a major bug, but it sounds like it could be a nice feature for you.

I had the same disconnect issue last week multiple times. Since the US call center phone line opens at 8am Eastern Time, I got up at 2am here in Hawaii and called then. I got right through without any wait.

The problem with what you're suggesting (and I cast NO aspersion on your post, as I appreciate you replying to me) was that when I logged into my FB account, it wouldn't find the flight.
When I logged into my flight record with PNR and last name, it found my flight, but wouldn't let me change from the DL SkyPesos number to the FB number. The AF phone agent was able to fix it in no time.
Thank you again for your help!

Thank you for the tip (the +33 number)! It ended up that I was able to get through via Flying Blue in the USA, and they were able to make the change for me.

But glad you got through anyway.

Just to be a little clearer - what I was suggesting was (1) log into your FB account on the app (not the website), (2) retrieve your reservation with the PNR/name, (3) ...., (4) profit! (Ok that last part a South Park joke, but supposedly if you do #1 and #2 (and maybe #3 is "save the PNR", I can't recall) then it automatically replaces the FFN. I know this bug has been discussed here, but I can't seem to find relevant threads.
But glad you got through anyway.

Thank you ijgordon and mlin32 and everybody else who helped me out with this; I've not been on FT in quite some time, and this thread reminds me why I love this place so much!
