Travelled from Bangkok today. Announcement made shortly after boarding that masks were mandatory. Asked a flight attendant and she said the mask ban was officially only dropped for flights within Europe. Also said that flights to French territories such as Reunion were considered “Europe” and no masks required. All seems farcical. Most people kept their masks on but I saw no enforcement or reminders of masks by the crew throughout the flight.

YYZ-CDG - masks were optional, no cabin crew were wearing masks. Canada still has a mask mandate which is really enforced.
CDG - BKK - Masks were enforced, surgical type or better. However, no one said anything about my cloth mask. Cabin crew only wore a mask when visible.
I'm not sure at what point the rules are enforced (ie if you're only flying into a country with a mask mandate). I'm hoping my return trip is mask free as it was a real drag to wear a mask for nearly 13 hours.
