Saddest meal ever today, Quinoa with mozzarella and zucchini. It's actually the second time I've got it, but the first time it was on a HOP operated flight, so I thought it was just a lower standard.
Today, it was almost a 4 hr flight...

Totally agree: it looks miserable. And they donít even use decent mozzarella.

4 hours in J HOP with that meal looks like a kind of torture Ö

Hop with that meal was 2.5 hours (cag-cdg)
Today it was AF, around 4 hours, rho-cdg.
Still miserable.
And my luggage stayed in CDG - 2h transfer from 2F to 2G was not enough.
And 2G was without air conditioning in the gate area, with some pleasant 39 degrees outside. What a day!

CDG - FLR mid July/2022, early morning flight. Some kind of crepe filled with chicken and endive.

FLR - CDG mid July/2022, midday flight.

At the risk of courting controversy; while the KLM salads are very poorly presented in the irritatingly ubiquitous Marcel Wanders boxes, they do at least contain the sort of food you might conceivably eat on the ground. This, on the other handÖ

Sadly this one has been around for ages. It stays overnight on the plane at outstations and is served as breakfast the next morning en route to CDG. Inedible, stay away.

please post on Twitter. They canít continue like this. If no one officially complains nothing will change. Had a discussion with an FA on the way to Mykonos and it seems there are no plans to go back to the old service. The reasons mentioned were Covid and the small ovens on the A220. Showed her a few pictures of BA and A3 business class meals and she was shocked.

NCL-CDG yesterday: Mystery white fish, but quite tasty:

Followed by a chicken pesto pasta salad from CDG to WAW. Also quite tasty, although the chicken was too salty. Most importantly, the Champagne glass never ran dry.

Really not that bad as cold options; the problem is that they were the *only* options. On a flight from Heathrow to Warsaw, for example, BA would offer three choices (two of them hot). I enjoyed these meals, but would be stuck if ever presented with something I didnít.

HOP! breakfast on CDG-DUS

Perfectly adequate for a 45 min flight (although I already stuffed myself in the lounge and declined the bread basket) and better crew than my inbound from BOS as well

it looks great for 45 minutes. The problem is you get exactly the same on a 4hr flight.

I think both AF and KLM better start up coming up with new short/medium haul J platters. For those who fly J regularly on these types, seeing the same 2 or 3 dishes after 7-8 months is more than a little annoying, regardless of whether it is on porcelaine or those Wanders boxes.....
