I guess that you booked AF631 arriving at 10:40 connecting to AF1032 departing CDG 20:45 at and arriving ATH at 00:55. The alternative was AF1832 departing CDG at 12:20 and arriving ATH at 16:30. To me a lounge is a lounge, however magnificent (and no spa), and spending 6 or 7 hours there eating/drinking seems much too much. PLus it makes you arrive in Athens in the middle of the night. I would much prefer the short connection, even without paying for lounge privileges. Maybe the P escort upon arrival in CDG is worth it?
Arriving ATH at 1am is not a big deal for me that day as that's only 4pm body time. Plus I'd be departing 9am the next morning on a LX/LH F mileage run.

Correct on the flights. I have no problem with 10 hours in the LPL.... eat, drink, shower, eat drink, work, eat, drink. LOL.

Absolutely. And 9+ hours will be even better. Just paid my 500€ and have my confirmation.
Most likely. We've stayed there before and it's a nice convenient option.
