One hour Transit adequate at CDG?

Flying in AF689 ATL-CDG
Flying out AF218 CDG-BOM
Only one hour Transit time. Travel during end Sep. Will this be adequate since both flights seem using 2E terminal?

Yes, but given the magnitude of disruption involved if you misconnect, I'd opt for an option with more connecting time.

You might well make it (inbound delays excepted) but knowing how inefficient bag transfer at CDG can be your checked luggage probably won't.

Next month? Seems plenty in normal circumstances. Just have to reclear security. Loads are down and lines should be shorter than normal. Does anyone have specific info on transit in 2E recently?

I had a one hour connection in CDG, coming in from ORD earlier this year, and I made it with time to spare. In these times of COVID, there are fewer people and you should have no problems making the connection.

One hour connections are fine at CDG. Most long haul AF flights go thru Terminal 2E. Not sure about Atlanta but at JFK where I work our flight are airborne 20 minutes after push back and arrive 45-60 minutes early at CDG. Traffic levels are still down so much. I'd definitely do it!

Even if the inbound is 45 mins late? How many daily flights are there to BOM these days?

If you are flying ATL-BOM in this environment people are obviously willing to take risks. If the ATL-CDG is delayed most likely the bags to BOM will be offloaded and the pax will fly another day. Not to tempt faith and again I can only talk for JFK, but in the last month we had one cancellation due to a Tropical Storm and one delay that resulted in a 30 minute arrival delay. Every other flight left JFK on time or early and as I said arrived 45-60 minutes early. No guarantees in life. But this is not summer 2019.

Frankly I see no reasons to worry. 65min is a normal connection in CDG and airports are empty and flights empty nowadays.
AF longhaul flights are very empty. AF689 has been arriving on time and usually quite early (up to 1h). AF218 will wait for you, given the few pax, and will arrive on time even with a 20min delay.
Of course, there could be some technical problems with AF689 but then having a 65min connection like yours or a 2h will probably not make a difference.
The probability of missing your connection is really low.
There is a DL flight ATL-CDG two hours before. I would advise you to check that the AF flight is expected on time into ATL (from CDG) and if it is very late, go to airport early and AF will put you on the DL flight.

Yup absolutely fine! I have transited many times through CDG from different terminals, domestic to international, in 20/30 minutes! (with sky priority)
