Yes... on departure.

We were a party of four and they seemed to be expecting us; ticket agent at LP counter had a KLM uniform and we were met by a ground handling contract agent who waited for check-in to be complete and then was our "person" until boarding.

Check-in took a while and no red ticket jacket.

Our escort got us to the front of the immigration line and then the front of security. He took us to the "SLOW" lounge, leaving us in the care of a dedicated lounge attendant in a huge VIP section where we were the only ones. Shortly after we arrived these watiers arrived with massive platters of food (sandwiches, etc) that appears to have been made just for us. Our lounge attendant was standing guard outside the sliding glass door to the VIP room and checked on us frequently to get us drinks from the bar in the main lounge. Great selection of SA gins and decent wines.

Escort returned slightly later than we had asked to pick us up, and walk us past the lines at the gate and onto the plane.

It was a generally charming experince. Nothing is like the full LP experience at CDG, but it was very nice for an outstation.

As mentioned upthread, had a fabulous LP experience this summer, that included above & beyond LP ground service connecting from CDG to domestic flights in Economy at ORY. Would I be extended the same ground service if the LP and domestic legs are booked on separate tickets?

Would like to have some flexibility on the domestic legs, esp as the connections on a single ticket are less than optimal + the possibility AF will add a direct flight from CDG to my destination closer to the summer, when repricing on a single LP ticket becomes prohibitive. The domestic leg is Economy only. TIA.

Just booked HKG-CDG as part od return from HKG in August. Seat map is 77W with LP which can not be bought. I wonder whether they keep the aircrafte if they are sure HKG is reopened and start selling LP. If it will not open I will gladly se e-mail cancellation 😁

AF had stopped flying to HKG for two years.
A couple of times, they rescheduled flights to finally cancel them.

They are tentatively scheduling 3 weekly from January 2023. The plane is showing the antique J seats 2x3x2.
What the ac will be in August 2023 is a total mystery.
