NOTE ON GETTING OLCI OFFER ON OAL ORIGINATING:
If the AF LP flight segment is down line from your originating segment operated by another airline which forces you to use the OAL’s checkin system, you can manually use the AF website to check-in for the downline AF flight and still get the offer. For example, GRU-MEX-CDG sold as AM14 / AM 6103 (operated as AF179), you can checkin via AM as usual. Before or after, go to the AF website for the currency you want to pay for the upgrade in. Check-in using just your PNR / Lastname and the AF flight number you want to check-in for. It will allow a mid-trip check-in and will offer the LP upgrade if eligible.

Flying jnb to cdg to Yyz with my partner. We didn’t get any offer when we checked in online. When we arrived at JNB, I asked if there’s any first class upgrade offer. The lady said there’s one spot left for $2000 CAD. Took it without hesitation. And with Amex airfrance offer, we only paid $1750 CAD. Too good to be true.

8/18, OLCI DXB-CDG on AF 655, Z to La Premiere is $1117.70. Seatmap shows 2 open seats. Haven't taken it yet.

However, I transfer to AF 3620 CDG-ATL operated by Delta 83 (Delta DM here). If I took this offer, would I have La Premiere lounge access in CDG? I figure I would be on my own getting to my Delta flight.

Is there a FC lounge in DXB?

Must be cheaper on the weekends, was 1050 for 16th. Was unable to check in online and even when i check in at the gate for the first AF flight i still couldnt check in for the next dxb leg. Wasnt till i landed in cdg was i able to access via app or website for upgrade. Anyone else experience them blocking off 2 seat?

Just upgraded CDG-DXB for tomorrow. EUR 1089. Does anyone have the number to call for the car service from my hotel (in Paris)?

Thanks in advance!

This might be a silly question but these upgrade offer aren't only for air france/flying blue redemptions correct? I could book an award ticket with a partner such a Virgin Atlantic and be offered an upgrade still at OLCI?

If the operating airline is proposing paid upgrades and if this operating airline has decided to propose those upgrades to partner award tickets.

I know you speak French, so my reaction is that you seem to be saying, "Avec des si on pourrait mettre Paris dans une bouteille." Oui?

Could be utilizing 77W for cargo.

Was offered DXB-CDG for $1018 for tonight's (technically the Sept 6) departure. Passed. Bit too steep for me for a flight I will likely sleep almost all of. Had I seen this offer ex-CDG I'd have taken it, but my flight out here last week was booked 3/4 and didn't get an offer at check in.

Might be more attractive if you have an onward connection and therefore get the benefit of the ground service and LPL - otherwise, I agree it's not really worthwhile just for the short night flight.

Hmm. I do have a 4-5 hour connection before my flight to IAH. The ground services (since you do get both pick up and drop off even if connecting into J, correct?), not having to deal with the usual CDG fiasco and the lounge does make it more palatable. Have a few hours to think on it

Yes, AFAIK you will get the full ground services at CDG if you upgrade the incoming flight to LP, so it may make more sense in this scenario.

It would be a no-brainer for me, but it’s a personal decision.

Flying this exact but opposite route end of September. I'm guessing you also got one of those ~$2K business class r/t tickets during that air france sale.

Few questions:
- the Amex platinum offer had to be online only no and using canadian websites/app? Did you credit trigger? Won't matter to me given its expired now 😭
- do folks still think it's worth it since my first fly will be business from YYZ - CDG? I'll get lounge access but not ground service right?
- anyone actually nap in the lounge? I'll have a 10 hour layover. Was planning on either doing some shopping or getting a day rate at a CDG hotel to truly sleep / nap. But if I'm paying a few grand for LA premiere I want to maximize it
- will be with the wife and baby daughter. Any concerns with this?
