CDG strike / disruption possibility
 

I have a couple of long-haul flights to and from CDG during the December 14-15 window and in view of the current protests against M. Macron's policies, I wonder what are the chances of there being any disruption in flights via CDG during this period? I realize such things are difficult to predict, but I will be grateful for any opinions from those of you more experienced than I on this issue. Thanks

Hopefully Macron would not announce a new tax increase close to Christmas -- politically that would be a not great move, but who knows.

As for strikes, well, I am not aware of anything planned. To see what may happen there are websites such as Liste des grèves en cours et à venir en France ? Cestlagreve -- which has a calendar of planned strikes (greves), and I do not see anything for December yet. evous.fr often has a list of strikes and protests for the week (greves et manifestations). I can see there is an anti-Macron demonstration planned in Paris on the 15th near the Palais d' Elysee in the 8th at 2 pm, but something like that should hopefully not be too disruptive.

Anti-Macron action is very unlikely to affect airlines.
ATC and AF are primarily affected by strikes specific to ATC or to AF.

Gilets jaunes from CDG apron do not count as real gilets jaunes ;)

And if there is a demonstration during your travels through CDG, it would be prudent to travel to and from town via rail (i.e. the RER) and not via road (e.g. taxi, bus), as it is the roads that are blocked during such gilets jaunes actions.

No industrial action planned on ATC or AF, so nothing to worry about.
