P, Ultimate, escorted VIP, sometimes wheelchairs, and chefs de mission with their protocol agents, yes. Accredited diplomats and Officials of International Organizations, definitely not. Anyone with a Diplomatic passport or/and Titre de Séjour Special is sent to the SkyPriority line. At least this has been the case for me and any other colleague from embassies or International Organizations. that I have discussed this throughout the years. The consensus is that we get no preferential treatment at 2E.

SDQBound I know you don't think you are more important than everyone else and I'm sure it is a let down compared to other countries, but I applaud France and CDG for this. It's one thing for a nation's Ambassador to get a all those privileges, but all the overseas staff should not. I guess I'm a bit sensitive as I'm working a long term project in a town that is loaded with UN and ambassadorial staff, and it seems like every third car has CD plates. I'm sick of government staff and officials thinking they are above the people they are supposed to serve. Whether you are traveling on business or government work, we are all in a hurry to get where we are going.

Will be traveling from IAD to CDG and then connecting on to Naples (NAP). Will have wife and 5 kids plus a dog in cargo. What's the quickest way to transfer from 2E to 2F - can we buy the 'ultimate' for our family and will that help expedite getting us through security/border/immigration during the 1hr40min layover? -- Also, anyone have any experience traveling with a pet - will we need to pick it up in CDG and then take it to our connecting flight - or will the airline (Air France) take care of that? --Thanks!

You can purchase with AF the expedited ground service (you can find details on AF website). It costs €150 for 1st person + €20/pax after the 1st). And it’s normally limited to 4 pax total, need to enquire specifically if you are more than that (your case).

No experience with the pets, but I believe AF is taking care of everything. With 1h40 connection, you don’t have time to take care of that anyway.

Really appreciate the response and the info. We've had a layover like that before - a little over 2 hrs and we had to run to make it (sans dog). I'll have to give AF a call to see how they'll handle it (the pet transfer as well as 7 people getting the expedited ground service.

Apparently this was updated to include US passports in December 2020:

it is a bit weird. I fly a lot to and from CDG and Parafe says only EU+EEA.

Does any American want to give it a try ? Although the PARAFE gates tend to be closed more often than not.

I was going to say. Haven't they been closed throughout the pandemic?

I researched this because a U.S. citizen friend successfully went through the PARAFE gates within the last couple of weeks and I was surprised to find out they could use it. Said friend doesn’t have any other citizenships or passports and another US citizen friend is going to try it out in the summer.

I am guessing they have not yet updated the English translation on the website. When you click the EN option on the same page it says PARAFE is just for EU passports. Looking forward to seeing how this works for US passport holders. Thanks all for the info.

I asked some Roissy traffic director about it the other day. The response was that PARAFE works with the US passports on arrival, but not departure.
I can't vouch for the veracity of the claim, but it would explain the phenomena.

Perhaps because US (and other passports for nationalities that don’t have the right of abode in Schengen) need to be stamped out and maybe asked a few questions? My understanding is that you have to be stamped in even after going through egates in France, Italy and Germany.
