luggage waiver on AF with Delta status
Can save $240 on an AF trip if get the basic ticket with a $60 charge per checked baggage. (who flies LAX-CDG without baggage?)
Have a Delta Amex platinum which gives me checked baggage waiver on Delta flights (could buy this ticket on Delta with codeshare)
Would this Delta status let me waive these baggage fees on this AF flight?
AMEX and AF didn't know and Delta has me on hold for 1 hour

found this on the AMEX site.
Delta marketed=codeshare?
The first checked bag fee waiver will only be applied on flight segments which originate on a Delta or Delta Connection® carrier when you check-in with Delta for both a Delta marketed and Delta operated flight.

Only Skyteam status will allow you to have any necessary baggage fee waived on Air France.
Arrangements between Delta and their credit card customers only apply to Delta flights. You are flying Air France.
