SEZ (Joon) will be suspended between 14 May and 26 October. Clients having already booked on this service will be rebooked on AF or KL to NBO then on KQ for NBO-SEZ. Pax booked in W will travel in Y for the NBO-SEZ sector.

For the purpose of maintaining this thread up-to date, I am quoting here the threads started recently:
- by AlicorporateUK announcing the relaunch of BEG from end march 2019.

Air France to resume Belgrade (BEG)

- by Orbitmic announcing the launch of TBS from end march 2019
AF opening route to TBS in the summer

I don't fly into BEG as much as I used to but that's still great news!

Apologies @Goldorak for missing the thread and indeed opening a new one for the Belgrade service, I will bear this in mind for hopefully more new AF routes to come!

Cordialement

I noticed that AA has now announced a seasonal DFW-CDG route from June 6th to October 27th. This is in addition to their current daily flight. That takes DFW from one direct flight to CDG to 3. I’ve been flying DFW-PAR (CDG and previously Orly) since the 80s and it’s been once daily service except when AF flew the route briefly in early 2000s. Any reason for all the capacity or is AA simply respondimg to AF ?

A bit of both I guess, real desire to increase capacity and response to AF. Note That in the past DFW was served by a 772 in the summer, now it’ll be a 788 and a 789, so it’s a somewhat tempered capacity increase whilst still offering more connections.

And it’s not such a bad offering, especially for OW Sapphire, which many of us here have. In Paris, the situation in terms of waiting lines at 2A/2C is never as bad as at 2E, and there is access to the very nice Cathay Pacific lounge; in DFW there is the Flagship check-in with escort to security, akin to Premiere in CDG, and the not too shabby Flagship Lounge. On board, seats are really good with direct aisle access and stable and speedy WiFi. Food is more refined on AF, that is for sure, and the service by AA staff may be “warm and familiar”, but the tap-on-the-back style of badly groomed obese maamas may not be everyone’s taste. Still, given the choice, I’d take AA on that route.

Air France is launching a summer-only service to Split/SPU, Croatia, 3 times a week, operated by 318/319.

As we could have expected with CZ leaving ST, AF is axing CAN from end of March 19
https://www.routesonline.com/news/38...te-march-2019/

More surprisingly, AF seems also to axe RUH from 1st Feb. leaving SV alone on this route.

I know that you know and it‘s just a typo: you meant to write SV, which is the code for Saudia airlines, rather than SU, which is Aeroflot.

With SV (ST member) flying a daily 777 with excellent seats, there was hardly a need for an old A332 three times a week.
