Are all EU regional routes Y only? I'm booked on ATH-NCE in August and it's indeed Y only as well.

I agree. But this is coming back to the fact I don’t understand why AF is not serving this route properly year round. There is certainly room for 2 full-service carriers on this route. I know one of the likely issue is the LHR slots, but I’m sure AF could have done it if they had wished.

Yes, especially for those summer-only routes, which are primarily directed at tourist and VFR traffic.

Pure point-to-point traffic to a non-hub is rather tricky on a full service basis. It is noteworthy that even BA only operates two daily flights from NCE to LCY whereas it operates 7 daily flights to LHR. LH also pulled out of all non-hub services and shifted that the Eurowings for similar reasons. AF will always be at a disadvantage on that route compared to BA. As you point out, the slot issue and the revenue from leasing the slot vs the profits expected from operating the route is also an element.

I thought it was already reported, but I don't see it in this thread (except NCE-LHR), so let's go. AF is launching or re-starting a couple of seasonal routes this summer :
- CDG to to/from TGN, AGA, MIR, MLA, LPA, CFU, RHO and PSA from 5 July 2021
- ORY to/from BRI as of 31 May 2021, IBZ and ALG as of 28 June 2021
- MRS to/from CTA from 26 June 2021 and CFU from 19 July 2021
- NCE to/from LHR and TUN from 28 June 2021

Domestically, there is the classical increase of Corsica services from CDG in addition to the ORY services:- CDG to/from AJA, BIA, CLY and FSC from 5 June 2021
- PGF to/from BES, SXB and NTE from 25 June 2021
- BIQ to/from CFR from 25 June 2021

MRS to CTA with Mainline AF
And all domestic flights from ORY operated by TO, there is a logic that I really don't understand there...

ORY to MRS and NCE are operated by mainline AF. It is not illogical that the same fleet operates all flights.

I don't remember this already announced : AF has started CDG-FAO on June 6 for the summer period. Several weekly frequencies in June, increasing to daily most of july & august. Plane = A320 family.

AF will also start flying CDG HEL on its own A319 metal while maintaining its codeshare agreement with Finnair.

AF has finally started the new route to Chennai MAA end June. Really the worst period to launch a new route to India, but it's only once a week at the moment (thursday for CDG departure). Aircraft = B789.
AF108 CDG 10:25 MAA 23:45
AF107 MAA 01:20 CDG 08.15
