I will be flying ORD-CDG in an economy light fare(DH really likes to save money). Any data point on upgrades? I would happily pay to upgrade to business(though not sure premium would be worth it above a certain amount).

Last Year at LAX to CDG. 2 of us flying premium economy. We asked about upgrade possibilities and for 480 euros each we were both able to upgrade to business at check in. This was on the 788.

We have maybe 3-4 upgrade threads already. It would be nice if everyone posted on the same one to have all data points / experiences together. Mods, recommendation to merge with existing Upgrade thread.

Does anyone know if they offer paid upgrades to Business on this route during OLCI? or is it better to ask at check-in or gate?
I'm flying this route soon and hoping for a paid upgrade. Did you have any luck?

Ridiculous...

how much do people think a day of departure airport upgrade would be from coach (H) to business class for Paris to Rome?

Because of Dynamic pricing, it's really hard to predict. Price can vary based on your flyer's profile as well - if offered (no guarantee it will be), it could be anywhere between 60-70 EUR all the way to > 300 EUR!
