It seems that TUN PoS has even better avaiability compared to EU.

So i would rank for now from worst to best:

1) US and Russia
2) EU
3) Tunisia (maybe other Africa?)

Any observations or thoughts - please contribute.

I would add that taxes charged for the exact same award flight can vary significantly based on POS, so shop around before you buy (as long as you have the availability, which again varies by POS)

Are we talking POS or origin/destination? I am getting confused now, as to me Tunisia is a very good OD, but I can buy it on airfrance.fr at the same price!

Not sure why you put US as worst either, I am getting better prices there than if I try to use FR for instance.

It may be different for different routes, my ranking was based on my observations for some routes i need/ monitor and some that i do not need. With joing effort we will have more information on how this works.

The upssetting part is that still many people have no idea they have to look into different places: thus life hack on one hand its a deceptive business practice on the other in my view.

Just had an interesting discovery, there seems to be a difference in booking fee when using the various airfrance sites to book a flight originating in NL
aifrance.nl - 10€ booking fee
airfrance.fr - 3€ booking fee
airfrance.de - 0€ booking fee...

Guess where I will be booking my tickets going forward...
