I am on AF 11 tomorrow (JFK-CDG). According to Flightradar24, a 772 is being swapped in for the A380.

I'm in W. The A380 has 14 more W seats than the 772. The flight is currently W1 J5 P3. There are 13 people who are going to need new seats and only 8 can get op-uped (assuming 3 J pax get op-uped to P).

What's going to happen to those other 5?

I'd actually prefer a different routing, but every other AF flight from the US->CDG is W0 tomorrow. I am Skyteam Elite + if that makes any difference.

One other wrinkle, the air france site still shows this flight as being flown by A380 currently. What are the odds that flightradar24 is mistaken? It's always been very reliable for me when looking at US airlines but I don't know what their track record is for EU airlines.

thanks.

They'll offer an upgrade for cash, and depending on how many people take it either op-up (very unlikely IMO) or downgrade / reroute the rest.

If AF still shows an A380, then it's very likely a mistake of FR24. I have seen plenty of mistakes of that kind for aircraft assignment on FR24. ADP still shows also an A380.

Try looking at flightaware.com and especially track the inbound flight's aircraft type, checking times and gate assignments to make sure that the inbound aircraft seems plausible.

A F/A yesterday told me that on top of HPJE, another A380 is out of order

I had a colleague flying JFK-CDG-JFK for 3 days a few weeks ago, and both her outbound and return flights were on an A380 and were cancelled.

F-HPJA has not flown since it arrived at CDG November 4, and F-HPJE is still in Goose Bay. So, out of 10 A380s in the fleet, two are out of order...

On the 9th of November AF0066 was also delayed due to an aircraft change, the original A380 wasn't used, so passengers had to go to another gate with another A380

Maybe they should consider temporarily taking the A380 currently in storage "few" kms south of CDG :D
