Boost project name revealed: JOON

https://www.airfrance.fr/FR/en/local...-compagnie.htm

Boost has finally its official name: JOON.

I think it is quite horrible. I don't know if it's supposed to evoke the french word "jeune" (young) but it sounds too funny and not serious and professional enough. It's also stereotipically aimed at millenials. Being myself 25yo, I much prefer AF mainline image than this.

Furthermore, the uniforms are horrendous (polo and sneakers...).

I don't think millenials need to see FAs dressed like their friends and a company named like an organic quinoa juice to want to fly the airline.

At least it's not quite as toe-curlingly awful as SNCF's "InOui" (Ennui?)

By including the "/" from the Air France logo family, it suggests "JO on /"

Certainly not good, but not worse than the ridiculous "LEVEL" of BA

It seems that the guys can opt for blue suede shoes instead...

JOON?

Sounds like AF has created a Korean subsidiary.

Weird choice in that with most European languages, including KLM's Dutch, would be pronounced yoon, right? Same with Spanish, German, etc.

LEVEL is IAG's puppy not BA's

Personally I don't see either LEVEL or JOON being around for long.

As a millennial, this is as hilarious as Steve Buscemi's part in 30 Rock pretending to be a kid in school. "How are you doing, fellow kids?!"

Awful branding, terrible doomed-to-fail airline.

AF/KL as a whole suffers from great lack of vision in management. This is supposed to be a 'budget airline, but not a budget airline'. Regardless of what they'll do, it lacks teeth in either if they don't directly position it to compete with Norwegian.

What a totally idiotic name - it doesn't mean anything in any language that I can think of, I don't even know if one is supposed to pronounce it French style, English style or anything else. The thought that they have actually paid some charlatans to come up with that gives me the creep...

And yes, I agree that 'level' is ridiculous too but at least it means something!
