The passport holder also looks identical to the "Tarmac" passport holder sold by Hermès. (Minus the branding, of course ) https://www.hermes.com/uk/en/product...r-H076774CK55/

Indeed! If it's really worth £180, that's a very nice gift .

OMG, that's hysterical. And both ex-CDG it seems. Was your flight extra turbulent?

Mine was more similar to the one your wife received, and my flight wasn't turbulent at all ;-)
It was delicious though.

My first P flight of 2020 was excellent (except for the presentation of the Lobster fricassée).

Received escort in MXP from the lounge to the flight, then usual car transfer at connection in CDG.
I had 12hr connection in the lounge so... I had breakfast, lunch, and dinner before my flight to HKG

Delicious scrambled eggs + espresso:

Truffle/chicken toast (superbe despite the appereance) and chicken with crayfish:

Coquillettes and filet au poivre ;-) Small in portion, but delicious.

During the flight, I didn't eat much - just the mise en bouche (spiny lobster / langoustine and caviar) and the fricassée that I posted above.

... and then breakfast, with the addition of the cake from the main meal that I skipped first.

The connection with escort in HKG was also very good - I enjoyed the Qantas lounge.
The QF flight to Sydney though was... meh. Seat was good, but I had probably the worse J class meal ever.

No turbulence at all on our flight. Interestingly, our FA did apologize for the look/sloppiness of my wife's fricassée. But looks aside, she enjoyed it as well.

Twelve hours in the lounge?! It's a nice lounge, but I would've gone into the city.

Well, I visit Paris every other month, I had to work, and I could not really trust the status of public transportation because of the (still ongoing I guess) strikes. Plus, I booked a massage in the lounge.

How many times in the history of the world has that phrase been typed?
