I was escorted with another pax from the airplane upon arrival at JFK, they had 2 escorts - one for the two of us with checked bags and the other for the pax without. But I was basically ignored while the escort and other pax bantered in French, not sure if he was a regular, better looking than I or just the fact he was French and my conversational French skills are pretty basic. Lol. That said, the concept of the escort here seemed pointless, just to make you feel important on the walk to immigration and wait at the baggage claim?

I was escorted through the diplomatic lane (I don't have a diplomatic passport, was under ESTA) when I landed in JFK in P 3 years ago.

I honestly don’t recall that part, but I have Global Entry so it wouldn’t have mattered much. But I do remember being ignored at the baggage claim. 🤷.♂️

Just tried today to book a round trip CDG/Dubai over the Easter week-end to visit friends .
it seems that P is not offered any more on this leg starting from the summer 2020 timetable.
I checked other dates and still no P flights .
Looks strange that AF removed P on this destination in front of EK .
With the retreat of the AF A380 fleet (this WE a first Jumbo has been given back by AF to his owner), we’ll have less and less destination served in P.
Does anyone has insight on the future of AF P service ?

Seems that from 25 Feb 2020 onwards the 77W is replaced by 772 on the DXB route.
No more P then.

I see two possible reasons:
- bad loads on the route
- another A380 leaving the fleet and the need for a 4-class 77W to replace it

The two reasons not mutually exclusive though.

On a // thread yesterday, it was mentioned that SFO receives a third daily AF operated flight starting from the summer season.
They put a 77W equipped with P on this route however AF blocked the sales of P on this flight .
Let’s hope it’s not a first sign that AF will discontinue his whole P service .

I would be suprised that they keep this plane without offering P seats. That does not make any sense as it means less J seats revenue.
In addition, P ground service is already offered in SFO with the other flights.
This situation might be temporary.

I am flying to MEX in P on sunday with A380 and it will be discontinued this year as well. From what I heard, they will add another flight per day and both will be operated with 77W.
Let's hope that they keep the P cabin as it's almost always full.

The SFO flights are changing in the summer. I was booked on the evening flight and AF agent called saying she protected me on the afternoon flight (it was an A380 but now 77W).

Does anyone know if there is a VAT refund desk near the La Premiere lounge at CDG or if one of the staff will point you in the right direction for the refunds?

The SFO situation seems sorted now. Various people looked at availability at various points in time over the past ten days, and the situation was so much in flux that everyone had something different to report.

Now it's a pattern where in next summer's schedule the A380s are gone from the SFO route, three daily flights instead of two operate each day, two of them on B777-300ER with Premiere (and all flights show availability in P), and one on B777-200ER without Premiere.

Good for people travelling in J, no more NEV seats. And also good for those travelling in P. Whilst not all flights have it (=reduced choice), all P seats are the new style of the 777-300ER.

Complementary Limo service for AF P PAX enters into service in Paris

The rumors has been confirmed : Limo service to/from Paris for P PAX is now included in the P ticket price . Other cities should be announced soon .
P product is now even more attractive .
