It's really kind of convenient. You basically prepare your trays in a private room, and then you join the left-most queue for the X ray machines. It still is a zoo (TSA agents shouting around, lots of "action" because people have lots of hand luggage and need to take off their shoes, some don't understand English/TSA instructions, the belts are too short, there aren't enough trays...) but it's still better than having to stand in line.

BTW, benchmarking ULTI: Lufthansa/Austrian let their HONs use this, irrespective of class of travel. Escort from the check-in counters through security to the lounge. Why AF can't do it for ULTIs remains a mystery.

Thanks for the insider view and the LH/HON benchmark ^

This mystery is easy to solve Sherlock San Gottardo : for sure AF doesn't want to pay for this service for Ultimates

12 flights planned in the next 60 days (4 in P and the others in J). I will ask them how many HIPP are spending so much time I'm CDG...

Oh, much like the vaunted luggage tag, everybody will pretend like they have no idea what you are talking about, and then until the very last minute you will be left waiting and feeling like a demanding child until the lounge manager brings it to you with an air of not understanding what the object is or even knowing they had such a thing. While obviously knowing that they have a giant stack of them in the back. It's a bit bizarre.

I thought this was an insulated experience until I saw that everyone basically gets this treatment? I asked about a luggage tag the last time (-- very politely, I might add, and not expecting anything. Just asking if that is a thing they have available, or if this was ever given to customers) and I got this bizarre ritual (and received a key chain right before being picked up for my next flight).

Constructive criticism: had a 1 hour layover in CDG, arriving from Latin America, continuing to Europe. All I wanted (and one of the reasons I was prepared to pay a bit more to do the journey in Premiere) was to use the time in the lounge to take a shower. I got some alarmed looks from the AF escort, who told me that I'd had max ten minutes in the lounge.

A bit out of luck, no police officer in the lounge so we had to walk to the 2E main arrival and then the 2E main security check, which added a couple of minutes. Upon entering the lounge I asked again very friendly what the absolute latest would be to leave the lounge for the connecting flight - "you have 15 minutes". Enough for a shower and a change of shirts if done expeditiously, so I hurried. But of course, what I thought would happen did happen: I arrived at the door of the connecting flight almost 20 minutes before departure, with 2/3 of the other passengers still to board. I could have had a slightly less hurried and stressful experience in the lounge/shower.

I feel that the superb ground service at CDG could be even more perfect if the ground staff managed these timings a little closer. Since they dedicate a person to a pax anyway, why not have that person take all the necessary info and optimise things like this.

Otherwise a very pleasant Premiere experience, as always.

Didn't know there was a passport cover as well!!! I want it LOL.

In my past experiences (last one on 22/10 to DXB), I asked to have the keychain to our hostess (like I was whispering to her if she knew where I could find something ilegal LOOL) and I got 2, one for me and one for my partner.

I do believe they have more stuff as I saw someone known as a P traveler get a huge red "La Première" bag with something bigger than a keychain/luggage tag/passport cover...Almost wanted to jump out and ask what was inside

Here's my little collection - I'd love to know what other people have and am still curious to see the passport holder.

That's quite a collection Jake. I've never asked for anything nor received anything from LP.

I do have a couple of Concorde pens and diary though.

I have a couple of items but certainly not all this nice collection
Sometimes, they also give you a LP bag with some macarons, caramels and other sweets. I would love to have one of those delicious saucissons from Maison Laborie !!! Oh, but wait a minute, I have some at home as you can order them on-line

In all fairness, most of the items I received when there was a problem with a flight or my bags were lost...

the colors came out a bit crazy, so apologies for that. The red isn't super well matched to the other items they have.

That's an amazing collection Jake! What's the thing to the right of the keychain? It looks like a car key. Did they give you one of the BMWs?
