Ground experience in Dubai: while I had to wait a few minutes at checkin for the escort, very good work from the counter staff + station chief. VIP passport lane + expedited security are executed very well. Lounge okay but not great, low-range Champagne and uninterested staff - I just spent 20 min there so wouldnt complain.
Onboard: great as always in the 77W. Very good FA, despite a full cabin and passengers eager to go to sleep. The seats are definitely starting to show a bit of wear and tear. Personalized attention from the captain. The flight is too short to sleep really well, but the soft product is way above the competition.
On the ground at CDG : as usual, the car transfer is unbeatable. Certainly miss the Jaguars of a few years ago, but cannot complain about the BMWs, even shared with another passenger. Fast lane was not really needed when we arrived (before 6am) but appreciated nevertheless.

All in all, definitely a few steps above the local competition, and a tremendous way to travel!
What lounge in DXB? And is it in a VIP section?

Especially, when flying in A380 that has more P seats than 77W

However, it never happened to me to share a car after landing in CDG... maybe linked to Plat Ulti FB status...

Also for me, solo on arrival. Leaving CDG, one time a Mercedes van with 5 pax to a 777 at CDG. One of the pax had her manservant accompany her.

And at IAD flying in on the A380, yet with only two pax, we also had a Merc van take us to immigration. Way better than those IAD people movers.

I experienced various configurations both leaving CDG and arriving, probably 40/60 shared/dedicated, and flying mostly 77W (very limited P experience on the 380). Anyway, sharing a car for at most 5-7 min shouldn't be considered a nuisance (or is this that I am especially low-maintenance?)

The lounge was the Ahlan first. I didn't see any VIP section, but again didn't look deeply as I mostly needed a place to sit for a few emails.

In all my visits, 9 or 10 I think, in LP I have only shared a car once. Nice guy he was too.

Ha, the fine folks at LP changed my 8h layover in Paris to a 1h30min one proactively. While I really just want 2ish hours, I had to ask them to change it back as I was looking to go into Paris for a meeting, then roll back in to enjoy a massage and dinner before a flight to Hong Kong. Do they do that often? I was a bit surprised to log in to see my flights changed!

Speaking of, can someone PM me the email address to arrange that massage?

Another nice trip — some serious construction going on right above the spa so expect less-than-tranquil massages. But for the free one, hey, it's a free massage. For people paying generously for one it might be a deal breaker.

A very light load to HKG with just 50% occupancy in P. Service wasn't as attentive as I was used to. The Comtes tasted great, though.

New change/cancellation penalty

Sorry if it has already been written, but I discover today that any change (included cancellation) on ticket after payment in first class cost 400 excepted full P/FFF fare. It was free of charge before.

Any change? For any ticket (except the ones you mentioned), to any destination? That is drastic.

I believe it is linked to the fare conditions, no ? There are more "cheap" first class fares than before, and I think most of them comes with more restrictions than the most expensive fares.
