But one question that I don't know has been answered -- is a J award booking eligible for the P ground-only service, assuming you meet the other criteria (flown paid F/P in last 12 months and flight doesn't offer F/P)?

I don't understand this rule. If the customer has a DL La Premiere ticket, he should be flying la Première and hence have access to the lounge. I thought a DL J ticket on a DL operated flight was enough to be eligible for paid access to the La Première lounge.

That bolded part seems to me to be specific to reward tickets or upgraded tickets booked in La Premiere. The paying access part is two bullets down. I'm not disputing that an award ticket booked in J will allow paid access to LaP ground service, but I don't think that represents definitive proof. The language "AF long-haul Business customers" could be interpreted to include J award passengers, and there is no explicit exclusion, like there is for other items, but I'd certainly want additional assurance!
Whatever happens I'll enquire (regardless of intention to book access) and report back.

I have searched for comments on flying the 380 FC I am booked SFO to CDG in September and would like an idea of what to expect. I have flown biz a number of times but took an opportunity to book First. I almost feel like rebooking on the 777
Thanks all.

Here is a trip report of our SFO-CDG A380 flight from a couple of years ago.

The entire La Première experience (in the air and on the ground) is like no other. While the 77W is certainly a nicer and more intimate experience, the A380 is still quite nice, especially if the cabin is not full.

Thanks I was thinking of sending a private message but didn't want to bother. It's too late for us to switch to 777 LAX to CDG. Hey it's one of those bucket list flights and the last of FC on major metal
