No reserved area in MAN escape lounge for La Première today because the dragons have deemed the lounge too busy and I hadn't personally contacted them to arrange. My surprised expression was met with... But there's plenty of seats for you to choose. It's not that busy then is it!

Since when have car transfers at CDG been double loaded. I didn't mind as the fellow traveller was a nice chap but it caught me by surprise. Brilliant service at CDG as usual, on the plane and at Changi but minor details starting to slip. Nothing major but noticeable.

It has happened to me once departing CDG late evening, but I was asked beforehand if it was OK with me.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't bothered about it. I wasn't asked though. The guy was a last minute upgrade else I'd have had the cabin to myself. He chose the only turbot too... Good job I was still stuffed after the rum baba earlier.

I can only recall one instance where I was *not* with another passenger. All the other times with one other pax.

A bit longer ago - when it was still the old P cabin - I seem to remember that they even had some sort of luxury minivan that brought several of us to the plane. It was a B77W to ICN, and the driver introduced each one of us with our nationality to the CDC, which I found odd.

Thanks San Gottardo, perhaps I've just been lucky before

Happened to me once, but I was told beforehand.

Smile A short trip report LHR-CDG-HKG and return in P : superb !

This is a quick report of my recent trip from LHR to HKG via CDG (and return) in AF P during which I experienced once again their fabulous service.

On the ground in LHR, this was where the service was perfectible (in the LHR Skyteam lounge) and I have reported this here (in the thread on P ground services in LHR) :
https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/29050417-post53.html

The rest of the trip was just perfect or almost. The new Jaguars in CDG are really nice :

I planned my trip as usual with a very long layover in the lounge to have time to enjoy it (food, massage, etc). The lounge was « very » busy when I arrived until boarding of the US bound flights during the P3 bank when it went very quiet as usual before fiiling up again in the evening. I took the opportunity of the quiet periods to take a few pictures for you (even if we already had multiple reports on this forum, but we cannot get bored with such a nice product ).

The food was incredible as usual. Here are some pictures of the current items available as self-service (and which you can also enjoy as part of your full meal at the lounge restaurant).

without forgetting the fabulous Maison Laborie dry sausages. Oh my god…

For main course, I took of course the famous beef filet (I could not resist), and the duck on the return. Service top notch.

Great service on board both flights, full load in P. I boarded 1st, so took a picture of the beautiful empty cabin for this short report. On-board food was excellent departing CDG, and OK ex-HKG.

The arrival escort service in HKG. The agent took care of picking-up my bag on the belt (which was the 1st to be off-loaded) and I was escorted until the hotel shuttle. The agent waited until the shuttle arrived and took care of my luggage in the shuttle.

In HKG, I was given the choice between the Skyteam and the QF lounge. As I never tried the QF one before, I opted for it. I have reported the experience with pictures in the lounge thread here :
https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/29047228-post558.html

Overall, a great trip. It’s nice to see all efforts done by AF on the product achieving good results when you see good loads in the cabins and at the lounge (I have now seen consistently the P lounge well filled at each of my stays there for the last 2 years). AF P product is a top notch one. I have thanked the staff at the lounge for the fantastic work they do and for which they can be proud of.

Looks like we like the same movies (this is the only movie I watched on a plane in the past 3 months despite weekly long hauls - almost depressing how that family ended)

Now look what you've done... I'm wanting to book another La Premiere trip

My last return from SIN was spoiled because I didn't feel too good on boarding then was later violently ill - no fault of AF - I blame the horrid baked fish I had in JetQuay. The FA and co-pilot (who were wonderful) were really worried for me and did all they could I felt I'd missed out on a proper experience. The dragons in the LP lounge must have been notified and mollycoddled me as best they could.

Thanks Goldorak for the report. Another amazing experience in La Premiere.
I need to find a way to book a flight in La Premiere again. I'am hungry just looking at the beef filet and the baba pictures!

too bad for you
I hope you”ll be able to have soon a new good experience. Was that at CIP Jetquay lounge ? Never had such problems there, but I guess it can happen (but it shouldn’t of course)
