Yotel cdg 2e-l
 

It was announced a long time ago but I have to say that I didn't see it coming now (I haven't seen any sign of construction but maybe I simply haven't been on this side of the terminal): the CDG airside hotel (YOTEL) will open end of june in 2E-L concourse.
A long awaited facility.

- Wash & Go in a Shower Cabin: €15 per person for up to an hour.
- Sleep, Relax, Recharge in a Premium Cabin for up to 2 people in a double bed: from €75 for 4 hours or more.
- Chill, Hang and Rest in a Family Cabin for up to 4 people in a double bed & 2 single bunk beds: from €95 for 4 hours or more.

I use the one at LHR quite often because -as many will know here- it serves as arrival lounge when travelling on DL services and, whilst I'm not sure I'd pay the 75+ EUR for the 4+ hours, I think however that the 15 EUR option is worth a shot.

what connections can access?
 

I'm arriving on an AF flight into T2E from Canada. Connecting to an AF flight that will depart from 2E-G.

I'm not familiar with this type of connection at CDG. But will it be possible

• for me to only pass through security upon arrival into T2E and from within the transit area, walk to T2E-G to the Yotel? In other words, can my connecting boarding pass allow me to get through the security check upon arrival but stay within the international connection area?
  
• upon leaving the yotel, will it be possible to leave the transit area and get on the red/yellow bus to T2E-G? My guess is that this may be the tricky one --- it often has been cumbersome to get someone to escort me out of the international transit area of airports, although I've never tried this at CDG (done this in HKG to visit an airside lounge upon arrival, but then wanted to leave the airport to visit the city for a few hours). I gather it is upon getting off this bus at T2E-G that I will finally go through passport check to enter the schengen area---that is correct, right?

Those are very good questions, but I'm afraid nobody knows the answer as the Yotel just opened. But I believe you should be able to do what you suggested, as this is the purpose of this airside hotel. Please report here what happened. This will help the community here :)

Reporting live after having just left the yotel. Getting to the yotel from an inbound international flight arriving into T2E-K (inbound from Canada) was super easy: we followed the signs for transfers, and upon reaching the central area (where we could go through security or transfer to other concourses of T2), there were signs for the yotel, which directed us to take the train to T2E-K. Upon getting off the train, rather than passing through security, we walked straight ahead about 80m to the yotel.

So to be clear (this was not clear to me, but maybe would be obvious to others who frequently connect in T2E), the hotel is in the international transit area, but outside the secure area. Provided you arrive on an international flight into T2E (where you effectively arrive in the international transit area outside security), you don't have to pass through passport control or security to get to the yotel. No need to show anyone plane tickets or passport, or a hotel confirmation or wait in any lines. You just walk/ride a train.

Upon departure from the hotel, we walked back the 80m towards where we got off the train, and went through security, and then proceeded with our transfer to T2E-G. We rode the red line shuttle bus that is within the secure international transit area. As T2E-G is for schengen flights, upon arrival to G we 'entered' France going through passport control (leaving the international transit area) and then proceeded to our gate.

Overall, would highly recommend the yotel. It is exceedingly convenient. As I was traveling with family, I was very pleased that it was relatively quick to get there. FYI, there are three kiosks for checking in, so nothing should take long between your international arrival and laying down for a nap. If I still lived on the east coast and was arriving CDG in the early morning, I'd consider naping at the yotel for four hours or so before heading into Paris. It's a great option for a nap and to freshen up when you know you likely won't be able to get into your Paris hotel room until early afternoon.

I wish to know if it is possible to access Yotel 2E when arriving from a domestic flight in T2G and leaving the next day from T2F? Or if an international departure / arrival /connection through T2E is required?

The Yotel is located in terminal 2E and not 2F. Unless you are flying from 2E (international flight) you will not be able to access it.

I am arriving on DL at 2E and departing with AF from 2E ... with a 10-hour connection, and bags checked through. I would like to go to the Yotel on arrival for a shower, then out to the city, then back to the airport several hours later. Can I do that? Leave the airport after the Yotel, then reenter?
