La Première summer promo ex-CDG

AF just released a new La Première Promotion for summer ex-CDG :
  • €3,995 a.i. to BEY and DXB
  • €4,495 a.i. to IAH and IAD
  • €4,995 a.i. to GRU, JFK, SFO, HKG, PVG, PEK, HND and ABJ
  • €5,495 a.i. to CGK and JNB
  • €5,995 a.i. to LAX and SIN

IMHO, very good price and the ability to try the new P cabin!

I will never understand some subtilities of airline pricing. Knowing that it is the same plane flying to SIN continuing to CGK, it's hard to understand why CGK is €500 cheaper than SIN. And also considering that usually it is the opposite situation knowing that SIN is a much more competitive market than CGK.

I am not sure that there is anything subtle about it really: just standard supply and demand economics. The SIN market can sustain higher prices than the CGK one, so why forego revenue needlessly by charging the same fares for SIN as for CGK?

CGK via SIN on AF, except this promo, is only in P, never in F: so that promo is a good deal (except, imho, for the specific rules, no stops etc...)

To go to CGK from area 2, I should prefer 2 tickets one to SIN ( always available in F) and another from SIN to CGK, to test the new Business (≈€500) ;)
