Thank you for those informations Goldorak! The lounge was next to the B51 gate where my flight departed, really close.

There is an area with a TV Screen. When we enter the lounge, we see the "lounge dragons" to validate our entries, then we turn left to access the rest of the lounge. Just do a turn-around on your right to access the TV.

thank you Zarmakuizz. I know the area you are talking about, but I admit I have never be seated there (it’s always crowded), so I didn’t know it was a TV area. I will edit my review.

I can't recall either whether an anglo-style cooked breakfast is available but I would second Goldorak's recommendation to go for French-style breakfast pastries. IME, unless you are in a really top class establishment, cooked breakfasts in France are more often than not disappointing. OTOH, breakfast pastries are usually of reasonable quality or better.
chocolate bread
I think the English phrase is... 'pain au chocolat'. En français dans le texte, as they say in translator's notes. Chocolate bread would tend to evoke something like a loaf of bread where chocolate has been added to the dough and/or with chocolate chips throughout.

Or chocolatine if you want to live dangerously

BTW, just flew into LAX on La Premiere today, great flight as always. My escort told me that AF J passengers in LAX will now use the QF J lounge as of *today*, Nov 1st. Obv can't verify as I wasn't traveling in J, but that should be a nice upgrade from the KE lounge.

She also mentioned that AF will build their own lounge there in the next two years.
Goldorak, Milkman, Satie and 1 others like this.

excellent news and it was about time. With 2 to 3 daily AF CDG flights + the daily KL AMS + the AF PPT ones, they can clearly justify to have their own lounge.

Just to report the addition of a food ‘corner’ at the Aspire lounge in BHX, which also marks a significant improvement in terms of catering. About time.

Thanks for the tip! Since I got a PP card I've been going to the No1 but they've recently cracked down on the number of prepared dish you can order (just one) so I might give a new try to the aspire.

You're most welcome. Funnily enough, they were redirecting people to the other lounge (No.1) yesterday as the place got packed to the gills just before 4:30PM (nothing new, though - finding a seat or even a corner where to stand on Thursday tea time has always been a challenge at the Aspire, especially before the KL/LH services to AMS/MUC/FRA, and it used to be even worse when SK D/G/P were still entitled to access the lounge).

BKK Lounge

The newly reopened BKK Lounge is ALL new but n the same place as the old one. It has showers, tv area, internet but I didn't use as I had my own devices, news papers, limited spirits and we'll stocked cold drinks, hot food In the morning but not sure if about later in the day and a pancake machine. I will attempt to put some photos shortly, please feel free to edit and or delete.

Thank you Andy49 for the update on the BKK lounge. This pancake machine doesn’t look very appealing to me. For the French people here : it makes me think about an old movie with De Funès and Coluche, l’aile ou la cuisse, when they visit the industrial food factory Tricatel : there was a machine to make a fish with a kind of paste put on bones and minute-cooked pressing a button

I've seen those machines at some Holiday Inn hotels this year......yes, quite industrial. I skip on those.

I visited the Arrivals lounge at CDG 2C a few weeks ago.....nothing to add except it was quite nice. Having the showers and a real breakfast helped me push past "the first day", usually hard after a TATL flight. Plus, the relative calm is also nice.
