La Premičre lounge is located in 2E-K and is subjected to special rules for access (P pax on AF-operating flights only, or capacity-controlled paid access for J pax flying on an AF-operating flight without P class).

Paris Orly (ORY) – West terminal, Hall 2 lounge

Name of the lounge Paris Orly (ORY) – West terminal, Hall 2 lounge

Drinks offer soft drinks, beer, fruit juice, coffee, tea. There was no wine proposed but that doesn’t mean they don’t propose some at other times of the day.

Design: see pictures
View: yes
Multi floors: no
Terrace: there is one, but unfortunately not accessible.
Smoking area: no
Direct boarding: no

Renovation of 2F1 lounge

Please note that the 2F1 lounge will be closed for renovation during approximately 2 months, from 6 FEB to 5 APR 2017. I believe they will do the same kind of work as in the 2F2 last summer, but 2 months...it will be long with only one lounge at 2F. Info has been also written in the wiki.

They do put out soup in the evening as well (has been the case the last two times i have got a hall 2 departure). Sandwiches and cold cuts were indeed available when i was there at noon recently.

But yes it has become a nice space for a domestic lounge!

I don't know if it's closed at that time of the day or a temporary/permanent closure. Too bad, as the B lounge was just in front of AF gate. Pax are directed to the other DAN lounges. Overall, a not-very-nice lounge

According to the sign at the entrance, the one in Concourse B is open 03:00-08:00 and 13:00-18:00, Excluding Friday evening and holiday eves.
There isn't one in Concourse D, but yeah the ones in Concourse B and C are pretty much identical, except I guess the opening hours, probably the B one is only open during peak hours, and the one in C is open throughout, there are no departures from TLV during the night, so I guess it does close at some point.

Allegedly according to reports in the LY forum, there is also hard liqueur, you need to ask the lounge dragon for it.

And they now also have sparkling water, they added some bottles shortly after I took my picture

Some pictures, i didn't take any of the seating areas since they were really packed, which is the norm for the early morning hours.

AF P pax have access to a separate private VIP room with a butler. Access to this room is controlled via biometrics (fingerprints). The butler is guarding the room and is entirely at your service !

There is a special food menu for the VIP P room, but as you can see on the picture, nothing very fancy. But our personal butler was very pleased to bring you any kind of food from the main lounge. And the catering on-board AF995 JNB-CDG in P was pretty good.

GIG - Rio de Janeiro Galeao Tom Jobim Airport - GOL international lounge - Term 2

Name of the lounge GOL International lounge Terminal 2 – Rio de Janeiro Galeao Tom Jobim airport (GIG)

In GIG, AF has moved from T1 to T2 during Q2-2016 and has therefore closed its lounge in T1. This change of terminal is more than welcome as T1 was very poor (as well as the AF lounge). T2 is much more modern and AF/KL/DL use now the new GOL international lounge, which is quite nice and has decent offerings. You will notice how AF/KL/DL names are displayed under the GOL name at the entrance. This shows how close GOL is to Skyteam, but they are not a Skyteam airline.

Location : international area, South pier, after security and after the looong duty free area. Go upstairs (3rd floor) and pass the Plaza Premium, Star Alliance and AA Admiral Club lounges
Opening Hours : 6 am to 2 am
Entry requirements :
- J pax traveling on AF, KL or DL flights
- Skymiles Diamond, Platinum and Gold Medallion members traveling on GOL- or DL-operated flights
- Flying Blue Gold and Platinum members traveling on international flights connecting with GOL.

Food offer : snacks, salads, mini warm pizzas (very good), pasta, sandwiches, gaspacho, cakes.

Drinks offer : waters, soft drinks, fruit juices. There is a bar at the back. The bar is in principle attended and you can have cocktails prepared. Unfortunately it seems the bar opens only from 4 pm. When the bar is not attended, it is self-service for wines (decent choice), whisky, gin, and a couple of other liquors.

Services
Wifi: yes (works well)
Showers: yes
Toilets: yes
Quiet zone: no
Loungers/sleep area: no
Business area: yes
Spa: no
TV area: yes

Passengers are called: yes
Information screen: yes
Newspapers: yes (large choice of French magazines and newspapers for the AF flight)

Other information
Number of seats: I estimate it at about 200
Level of noise: low (but the lounge was empty when I arrived and not crowded when I left it)
Design: the lounge is brand new. Modern look with quite a lot of wood pieces. Separate dining area with tables. See pictures
View: yes

Multi floors: no
Terrace: no
Smoking area: no
Direct boarding: no

Thumbs up

Very nice review goldorak. Another award winning write up... ^^^

Looks like you were more or less by yourself in the lounge. Also, looks like it's huge and same goes for the amounts of food available.

Btw, is there a fast track for premium PAX at GIG?

Thanks Goldorak!

Good to see that the situation at GIG has improved significantly. The old AF lounge was a small and sad affair, really depressing, with the exception of the Concorde model in front of the door. Been there many times in 2015, but not flown from GIG in 2016 so this is the first time I see pictures of the GOL lounge now used by AFKL.

Regarding fast track for premium Pax at GIG: as far as I know there is no fast track at any Brazilian airport for anyone other than people requiring special assistance (e.g., wheelchair). This information is true as of 5 months ago, things may have changed in the meantime.

The move to GIG T2 is indeed a great improvement either for the terminal experience but also for the lounge. Indeed for the ex-AF lounge in T1, as a Concorde eternal lover, the model at the entrance of the lounge bring some kind of nostalgia and nice memories

The lounge was completely empty when I arrived (we were maybe 3 persons in). I have to admit that I arrived quite early at the airport because the traffic is unpredictable in GIG, but most of the time horrible. So I took precautions, but it took me only 25 minutes to go there from Santa Teresa area, so I arrived in the terminal about 10 min before opening of the AF counters. Progressively, more pax arrived, mostly AF pax I believe but it never got crowded at any point.

There is no fast track at GIG neither for immigration, nor security. But I was lucky because there was nobody for both. So after check-in, I was airside 5min later.
The only negative aspect of T2 is that you have very long walks and, for both arriving and departing, you have to navigate through an unterminable duty free area. And due to this very long walks, AF starts boarding 1h20 before flight departure time . A world record ! This is valid also for J pax, because they make the announcement in the lounge at that time. I spoke to AF agents at check-in and at the gate and they told me that since they moved to T2, they have a very significant number of pax who arrive late at the gate because of the distance and the huge duty-free area. So they start the boarding very early to make sure they have enough time to off-load bags of missing pax and ensure on-time departure. The only advantage of this is that the flight is usually ready to go earlier than scheduled, so you leave GIG and arrive in CDG early.

Recent experience at YYZ T3 AF-KLM Lounge?

Appreciate anyone who has been to the AF-KLM Lounge at YYZ T3 recently to share the experience.

I have access to both the Plaza Premium Lounge and the AF-KLM Lounge and am wondering which is the "better" one that I should use.

Many thanks in advance.

I visited the AF/KLM lounge last september and liked it. Good food options and drinks. Nice chairs, some with apron view.

Thanks for the tips.

Since the two lounges are virtually next door to each other, I may go to both to compare.
