Paid access options for AF lounges are displayed after the lounge list.

  • CDG : AF lounges in
    • Terminal 2F (Schengen): 2 lounges, one in each boarding pier (2F1 and 2F2). Both have been renovated (2F1 during summer 2016, 2F2 in feb/march 2017 reopening on April 6, 2017). A new single lounge is planned for 2020, to replace the 2 current ones.

I am flying DUS-CDG-OSL next month and I was wondering if it is possible to visit the 2G lounge on arrival to CDG? I understand that this lounge is better than the 2F lounge, which is where the OSL flight leaves from.

For the record, here is a picture of the King Amlet lounge in Billund airport, used by AF/KL (and many others as this is the only lounge). The lounge is currently under renovation leading the left part when entering the lounge closed, which reduces the capacity of about a third. Guest are invited to use the "Business area" instead so it is not really quiet anymore there.

Food selection looked pretty basic to me (a few danish pastries and salads) but I have only been to that lounge during the morning. Newspapers available but mainly in danish.

Lounge has a view on the tarmac but do not expect to see if your plane is boarding from there. But as you can see on the picture, information screens are available in the lounge.

I invited a friend at the 2G lounge 2 years ago, to come over and join me, while he was leaving to CPH from 2F. The lounge dragons insisted that he should use the 2F lounge instead, but since he was my guest, he was allowed in.

In any case, the food offer at 2G an 2F is exactly the same. The main difference is the layout, that feels less crowded, although both lounges are currently equally full of pax. I would advise you to attend the closest 2F lounge to your departure gate, and go downstairs : the area is calmer, the food offer is slighly more diverse, and there are less people.

Given that it is relatively easy to get into 2G departures from 2G arrivals and back out to 2G-2F transfer, you could try, although the rule is that you should use the lounge of your departure hall.
It might be possible as i believe having seen members on this forum visit 2E lounges on arrival before transferring to 2F but if your layover is not very long it might just be easier going straight to 2F which still is a decent lounge with the same offerings and tarmac views as 2G minus one or two hot food offerings.

Also, if you happen to be transiting during late morning/noon, expect the 2G lounge to be full anyway so 2F remains the best/easiest option.

This brand new lounge deserves a brand new review, right?

A Lounge Dragon pro-actively went towards me, as soon as I approached the Ultimate area. We had a chat about the lounge, and this one at LYS is to be of the same level as the AF lounges in BOD, MPL or ORY: regional lounges, not "business" lounges like in CDG.
