Right you are! I saw it when I was in the lounge a couple of days ago. Looks like seating for 10-12 passengers, with some food and beverages on offer, presumably of the premium variety.

In the Etihad lounge at IAD waiting on AF 55 now. We arrived before the AF check-in counters were open, but had our electronic boarding passes on our phones, so we were able to get airside and make our way to the lounge. The staff were a bit surprised to see us so early (right before 2 pm for a 6:30 pm flight), but let us in without any special invitation. They took our names, and mentioned that they hadn't received the passenger list yet from AF.

The lounge is nice, and the buffet had some good-quality hot dishes for dinner. I had lamb curry over rice, and there was also a chicken and a pasta dish. After the main course, I sampled some of the cheese and desserts offered as well. Quite tasty!

I'd argue that it's a step above the AF lounge at IAD even without the table service that Etihad used to provide.

great and good to know. My next trip to IAD will be before the AF lounge re-open so Iíll be able to test the EY lounge. :)

That's good news. I'm flying BOD-LYS-SXB on January 25th, so hopefully no further delays :)
And btw, we flew on the same day !

I was at the LYS patio lounge on Friday, and I have been told that the opening will happen on January 22nd, so tomorrow.

R.I.P patio lounge. We will not regret you. :p
This was the last remnant of this horrible PH Gourgeon era (customer-wise).

Helsinki (HEL) - Aspire lounge

Name of the lounge
Aspire Lounge

Location
Terminal 2. Above Gate 27.

Opening Hours
5am-9pm

Entry requirements
Finnair operates flights on behalf of AF on the HEL-CDG route. With a business class ticket or elite status you can access the Aspire lounge (you can't access the Finnair lounge - I tried, but I do have to say I don't hold any OW status so it can be different if you have). Even though an invitation to the lounge is printed on your boarding pass stating access is only for 1 person, you can guest a person if flying on AF or KL. The male lounge dragon with whom I chatted even said you can guest a person "flying on any other airline" - but I doubt that is true. The lounge however doubles as a Priority Pass lounge and is probably the lounge for quite some other airlines as well.

Food offer
Self service buffet. Was there during breakfast and mostly just cold cuts, bread/pastries, salad only. Have breakfast in your hotel if you can (for airport hotels I can recommend the Scandic hotel, although Hilton has an on-site hotel too).

Drinks offer
Soft drinks, coffee machines (decent enough quality), (draught) Carlsberg beer, wine, booze. Not too much variety though (1 white, 1 red, no fizz, just 1 each of vodka/gin etc.)

Services
Wifi: No separate lounge wifi - although airport wifi worked like a charm and was fast.
Showers: Yes
Toilets: Yes
Quiet zone: Yes
Loungers/sleep area: No.
Business area: Yes
Passengers are called: No
Newspapers: Yes

Other information
Number of seats: 70 - 120?
Level of noise: Quiet generally
Design: Design-wise quite nice, with some swinging chairs, fake fire place feature thingie, different kinds of seating etc.
View: Yes, although no tarmac view (terminal view and perhaps parking lot from other side of lounge, although not sure).
Multi floors: No
Terrace: No
Smoking area: No
Direct boarding: No

Summary
Nice lounge to get some work done/sit in quietness, take a shower, or have a coffee or quick drink. Otherwise nothing too much to get excited about. Typing this as we speak from the Air France lounge at the L gates of 2E while I sip some champers after a rejuvenating Clarins massage - what a world apart!

Last visit (november 2018) I have to say that food offer improved with some hot empanadas and pies and some sandwiches not so "triple de miga".

To find this offer you have to go further in the lounge.

News re MAN: the staff tell me that 1903 lounge will continue to serve AFKLM customers until AFKLM moves to the new pier, currently expected to be ready in two months. No information about the new lounge seems to be available. I will believe it when I see it!

I have tested the new LYS lounge. Indeed a great improvement compared to the horrible patio lounge. I was not able to take a lot of pictures inside as it was full so not very easy. A much better Ultimate/P pax/Club 2000 corner ;)

But a big big disappointment for F&B offer...basically no food available and just a few soft drinks (wine was out of stock) Not acceptable IMO.

fortunately, the AF staff at LYS is one of the best among AF stations IMO and they treat very well Ultimate pax with a lot of attentions.
