Thanks in advance !

Sorry, my travel plan changed now I will fly via GRU to CWB!

Anyway how is the lounge at GRU?

Lounge in 2D / lounge TGV air

Hi everyone,

I am flying to Vienna next week with AF ticket on OS metal, departing from 2D. I have not been to this third party lounge for ages and am wondering about the food offering during lunch time.

Can someone share his/her recent experience about this lounge?

Second question is : is there an accessible lounge for PAX waiting for TGV air to other cities than Strasbourg?

Thank you.

OTP - Henri Coandă

Name of the lounge : Tarom Business Lounge

Location : after security, near gate 7, one floor above the gates.

Opening Hours : ??

Entry requirements : a lounge invitation is given at check-in but should work with appropriate ST E+ card

Food offer : fairly basic - primarily nibbles - some breakfast pastries

Drinks offer : limited : a couple of Romanian wines, limited range of canned soft drinks, a few spirits and usual hot drinks, bottled water.

Services
Wifi: yes, airport provided
Showers: no
Toilets: no
Quiet zone: can't remember/don't think so
Loungers/sleep area: no
Business area: can't remember/don't think so
Spa: no
TV area: can't remember/don't think so
Passengers are called: no
Information screen: yes
Newspapers: no

Other information
Number of seats: perhaps 100-ish but not a lot of people when i was there
Level of noise: open design (and therefore ambient noises) but not especially noisy
Design: nothing special
View: nice view on the apron
Multi floors: no
Terrace: no
Smoking area: no
Direct boarding: no

Despite OTP being RO's home-base, this does not feel like an airline home-base lounge and is more like a standard generic airport lounge. In fact, the lounge is in most respects virtually identical to the "Mastercard" lounge used by non-ST airlines. It feels as if the lounge, despite being RO-branded, is in fact airport-operated.

Vienna JET lounge

JET lounge is ok. Clean and roomy. Food offering is basic but enough for breakfast snack.

BEWARE: it is located before security to gates C from which AF departs.

JET lounge is in duty free area, in front of Swarovski shop.

If you go through security by mistake you can go back to duty free area though..

Lounge in CDG 2D

Basic but adequate cold food for snacks.

They need the FB card so they can swipe it through.

VERY friendly staff.

Works under way so access will be after security. It will be a plus, except for PAX in long transit from TGV air who are unable to check in until 2 hours before the flight therefore unable to go through security.

HasteFlier Sep 25, 2015 4:08 am

I dont think anyone posted it yet - I noticed a big improvement in the NCE Schengen lounge (terminal 2) today - no changes in catering it seems, except a temporary wine tasting, but the surface is doubled, with much cozier and comfortable seating!

On my cellphone now, ill try to post pictures later.

that will be a big improvement to have this lounge airside. I haven't been in 2D for centuries (since AF left it) but I have trouble to imagine how they will do this knowing how the terminal is designed.

The Schengen lounge looks so much better than the lousy non-Schengen lounge that Delta uses.

There are four lounces in NCE (terminal 1/2 x schengen/non-schengen). Until I saw the changes in the T2 Schengen lounge last week, all four were identical in almost all points (catering, seats etc), except the size and the view.
The catering is still identical in the enlarged lounge (btw, there's a sometimes hidden sign saying that you can ask for champagne - it took me 4-5 visits to spot it. Not a great one, but still better than the mediocre wines).

As they are all operated by the airport, I suppose changes in one will be reflected in the others at some point. That said, the space on that floor is limited, so a similar extension of the non-schengen one is unlikely. I haven't been to that one (T2 non-schengen) in some time, so I have no idea whether they changed anything there.

HKG - Hong Kong

The new Skyteam lounge is opened since 22 sept :)
You can find a nice review (with pics) in the Skyteam forum of FT :
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/skyte...l#post25577004

Interestingly, the OP mentioned that the lounge is not so large (220 seats) and that, for the moment, KE still has its own lounge (but now strictly reserved to KE pax), DL still uses VS lounge and AF/KL still use QF lounge
This is maybe temporary, so if some of you fly Skyteam from HKG, please report here the situation :)

Seems like contracts are still in place, but I am sure KE elites will enjoy accessing this lounge and not the super tiny and old KE lounge...

Edit May 2018 : the lounge has now a 2nd floor, open during peak hours. They have also move the entrance of the lounge (it is now on the right of the former entrance). Nicer design than lower floor IMO, but they forgot one essential and basic equipment : power outlets !! Only approx 1/4 of the seats (those along 2 of the walls) have access to power outlets. Ridiculous, really. Pictures of the upper floor :

Does anyone have experience with lounge access on op-up from W to J (free upgrade) ?

For example, if a transatlantic leg is upgraded at check-in, do I get lounge access at the departure airport ? Connecting to a all-Y domestic flight in CDG, can I use the J arrival boarding pass to access a lounge ? Not implying that AF have to in anyway, but that would be nice !

I checked-in at T-30, picked a seat in W. I went back about two hours later to check if alternative seats were available and found that my seat was now in business. Passbook boarding pass updated to reflect J class and new seat.

Which was all in vain since east cost weather and LGA ground hold made me miss that flight...

WAW | Fantazja Executive Lounge

This lounge replaced the gloomy & shabby Ballada lounge a few months back (I had already posted the news together with some pictures, but they seem to have disappeared - my apologies).

Location
After security, straight on the left hand side and walk to the very end alongside the shops/restaurants on both sides. Located just next to gates 36/37 (between 30 seconds-1 minute walk from the gates where AF-KL-AZ normally depart).

Opening Hours
5-23

Entry Requirements
Sky Team standard; note that several other airlines' customers (non-Sky Team e.g. AY, TK & EK) are also allowed entry based on status/class of travel.

Food/Drinks Offer
Soup of the day, quiche, decent variety of Polish cold meats & cheese, fish sandwiches, vegetable mix in plastic boxes, fruit, yogurt, choice of different breads, croissants, sweets, 3 choices of fruit juices, local beers (Lech & Tyskie), several other alcoholic beverages (including Polish vodka).

Additional Information
The lounge is particularly quiet even just before/after midday when several services (AF1147, AY746, KL1364, SU2001 & AZ491) all depart around the same time; there's no view on the apron (the big windows face the road adjacent to the departures level and the bus/train station entrance underneath); no smoking area; very limited choice of newspapers; large seating area (chairs & sofas), including quiet area.

It seems like you're going to have the task of taking some pictures of the seating area (and a closer look to the food & the alcoholic beverages, unless you depart back to Paris with the 19:05 service on the Monday - by that time, ajs123 will have already emptied all the bottles :D).

New lounge at LIS.

The old contracted AF/KLM lounge is closed. AF/KLM passengers can now use the ZNZ-lounge, which is also used bij TAP, Lufthansa etc.

It's actually called the ANA lounge, but they write it in such a peculiar style that it does look more like ZNZ! Once I got past that little confusion, it has a fairly decent selection of snacks (I counted eight different types of fillings in the bread rolls, and they have those little custard tarts too) but the lounge itself was pretty crowded.

I promised to come back with some pictures, so I did. I have to say that I have been really impressed by this lounge in WAW. One of my favourite in Europe IMHO with BCN Pau Casals (see review above). It is rather small but with a very decent F&B offering. And nice design. Wifi is the airport one but it works very well. There's showers available in this lounge too. So here are the pictures :
