paris cdg 2e - l lounge now has a sauna
sitting here in the lounge at the moment, just had the clarins treatmnent and before that i enjoyed the sauna. not sure if somebody already said this. but according to the nice lady who helped me, they just opened the sauna facilities yesterday. it is in the same area as the showers.
dont know how i can make better pictures, just know that the angles, composition and such sucks. but at least you will get an idea of the sauna.https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...1a2a4a49ea.jpg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...dcc42d1d8e.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...1aaf219317.jpg |

A rather disappointing lounge, when you think this is one of the 2 flagship lounges of a quality carrier like KE in their hub of ICN. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/622/2...92da908ccf.jpg https://farm1.staticflickr.com/638/2...70c433e335.jpg Location : in the satellite concourse, where the train is arriving from the main terminal, upstairs from the gate level. Opening Hours : 6:30 am to midnight Entry requirements : usual Skyteam requirements. This lounge is accessible also with Priority Pass. Is this still the ICN lounge for AF/KLM flights? If so, has the situation improved over the last three years?

I believe not, because T2 has just been opened in ICN and AFKL moved there and so use the new lounge facilities of KE there (I have just put a note in the wiki). The new KE lounges are certainly better, but I have not been so I cannot confirm anything. Any pictures and review by some ICN fliers will be more than welcome :)

NUE - Nuremberg Airport
Name of the lounge : Dürer Lounge
I think this lounge was not yet described. It is a small airport lounge, used by Air France and KLM among others. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...ab9155634f.jpg Location : Terminal 2, just after security, before the stairs to the gates. Opening Hours : All day. However, the lounge is only staffed at peak hours (early morning and in the evening). Outside of peak hours, entry is made by scanning a voucher received at check-in counters. There is a phone to call an information desk that will manually open the lounge if such a voucher was not received (e.g., because one did not go through check-in counters). Entry requirements : usual Skyteam requirements. This lounge is accessible also with Priority Pass. Food offer : a few pastries, selection of sweet and savory snacks Drinks offer : limited choice of soft or alcoholic drinks, hot drinks Services Wifi: airport WiFi Showers: no Toilets: Yes Quiet zone: No Loungers/sleep area: No Business area: Yes Spa: No TV area: Yes Passengers are called: No Information screen: Yes Newspapers: Yes Other information Number of seats: a few dozens Level of noise: low outside of peak hours – I was alone in the lounge for more than an hour… Design: simple, modern View: at the tarmac level, view on some nearby aircrafts and of the boarding process Multi floors: No Terrace: No Smoking area: No Direct boarding: No |

Name of the lounge : Upper Deck - Glasgow On Air France website, it says that the lounge to use is called "Sky Lounge". It has been at least two years that the lounge has been renovated to become the current Upper Deck lounge. I am traveling with KLM, although Air France also uses this lounge. I was allowed to take pictures, as long as they don't display staff members. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...09a89681e3.jpg Location : Terminal M. Clear security, duty free, keep walking to the gates. At some point you will start seeing directions to lounges. It is quite hard to describe the rest of the path, the airport did a good job in overplacing restaurants down your path to the gates and lounges. At some point, you will have to take stairs, and there you go. Opening Hours : All day. Entry requirements : usual Skyteam requirements, including guest as FB gold/plat perk. This lounge is accessible also with Priority Pass or paid access. It is shared with a lot of airlines, still it had a lot of space. Food offer : sandwiches, soups, cakes, fruits, a selection of cheeses and snacks including fudge. Drinks offer : sodas, syrup-style drinks, a coffee machine. For alcoholic drinks, you have to order at the bar. Services Wifi: airport wifi has a special procedure to get free use of wifi. Take the instructions at the lounge entrance, as it's not obvious. Showers: no Toilets: Yes Quiet zone: No Loungers/sleep area: No Business area: No Spa: No TV area: No Game Zone: they had one, although they removed everything. Unsure you could plug in your Switch to one of the 4 screens available...? Passengers are called: Yes. We hear the airport calls for passengers, and the lounge staff called passengers for my KL flight. Information screen: Yes Newspapers: Yes Other information Number of seats: up to 160 according to staff Level of noise: low Design: simple, modern View: either on the tarmac, or on the airport entrance. Multi floors: No Terrace: No Smoking area: No Direct boarding: No |
Name of the lounge : AFKL Lounge YYZ
I didn't see that there weren't any report here, so I forgot to take any picture, oops. I'm on my phone, will complete later. Salon Air France-KLM YYZ Location: go to gate C32, take the elevators. Opening hours: 8h30 to 23h00 Entry requirements: usual Skyteam requirements. When checking my luggages at the airport entrance, the AFKL staff gave me a nominative lounge entry voucher, so it seems relevant... However, when entering the lounge, somebody entered in without having a voucher? Weird. Food offers: cold cuts, hot food (even at 4 PM), snacks Drink offers: soft, beer, wines (incl. Rosé Champagne), spirits. Services: Wifi: yes, with code Showers: didn't check, seems like No Toilets: Yes Quiet Zone: ? Loungers/Sleep area: ? Business Area: ? Spa: No TV area: ? Passengers are called: No Information Screen: Yes Newspapers: Air France website claims yes, although I didn't see them. Other informations: Number of seats: Didn't count, it seemed to me 60-100 people could be seated. Level of noise: low Design: somewhere in-between DL and AF lounges. View: on the tarmac Multi-floor: no Terrace: ? Smoking area: ? Direct boarding: No EDIT: added the link to the last 3 reports to the wiki. |

LYS update:
According to an airport employee (not AFKL staff), the rénovation has started last week and the lounge should be available in May. "The new lounge will not be that big, but it will be better." According to the LYS lounge dragon (AF staff), the new lounge should open between September and December 2018, once the renovation starts. I tend to believe the lounge dragon more... |
