I believe the classical ones : flying J or being FB gold/plat.
Have been to this lounge on numerous occasions when flying on AF (code share) flights and accessed as Plat. NB : If the works are finished, the access should now be air-side which is a bonus compared to the old configuration when one always had to allow extra time for security after leaving the lounge. The only downside is when arriving very early (due to long TGV Air connection for example), then check in is not open and lounge can therefore cannot be accessed. |
Canton / Guangzhou (CAN) China Southern Premium Class lounge
Name of the lounge : CAN - China Southern Premium Class lounge
https://c4.staticflickr.com/8/7596/2...d87d1406_z.jpg https://c6.staticflickr.com/8/7369/2...5e60da10_z.jpg This lounge is divided in 2 distinct parts. If you fly CZ metal, you go left at the lounge check-in desk. If you fly AF metal, you turn right. Having been to both parts, the « left part » (flying CZ metal) is much better, even if the « right » part is very acceptable, especially knowing how poor lounges are usually in mainland China. For lounges (and other reasons), I would choose CAN any time for connecting in China compared to PVG. Location : immediately on the right when you have passed the international transit check-point Opening Hours Entry requirements : usual Skyteam requirements Food offer : large (and good) choice on the « left side », nothing fantastic on the « right side ». Warm and cold options available on both sub-lounges but more choice (and better) on CZ side. See pictures below. Drinks offer : soft drinks, wines (not goos), water, etc Services Wifi: yes but works not well. Showers: yes Toilets: yes Quiet zone: not sure Loungers/sleep area: yes, on CZ side Business area: area with computers Spa: no TV area: yes Passengers are called: no Information screen: yes Newspapers: yes (Chinese only of course…) https://c3.staticflickr.com/8/7364/2...972d0610_z.jpg Other information Number of seats: always hard to say, but I’d say about 150 on CZ side and 80 on the « right side » Level of noise: medium Design: modern, nice in both lounges but still nicer on CZ side in my opinion. See pictures below. View: yes Multi floors: no Terrace: no Smoking area: unknown Direct boarding: no Pictures of the « left (CZ) side » https://c8.staticflickr.com/8/7102/2...40deb847_z.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7402/2...ef531ffe_z.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/8/7089/2...ccef7e9b_z.jpg https://c3.staticflickr.com/8/7433/2...5e26e908_z.jpg https://c7.staticflickr.com/8/7737/2...1740c629_z.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/8/7404/2...6d35b552_z.jpg Pictures of the « right (partners) side » https://c1.staticflickr.com/2/1455/2...e27006a9_z.jpg https://c8.staticflickr.com/2/1478/2...25a853fe_z.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1556/2...f31a6179_z.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1503/2...85a00392_z.jpg https://c3.staticflickr.com/2/1456/2...4b2206ab_z.jpg https://c3.staticflickr.com/2/1577/2...22c33741_z.jpg https://c4.staticflickr.com/2/1608/2...67e5ef4c_z.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1688/2...6590d446_z.jpg https://c5.staticflickr.com/2/1587/2...1d820c94_z.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1604/2...8e6ff63a_z.jpg https://c3.staticflickr.com/2/1450/2...93d8c464_z.jpg https://c2.staticflickr.com/2/1670/2...136d345c_z.jpg |

Name of the lounge : LIN - AZ Manzoni lounge
https://c5.staticflickr.com/8/7750/2...a0cc023c_z.jpg Location : upstairs after the duty free area Opening Hours : unknown, but as this an important AZ station, we can guess it is open all day. Entry requirements : usual Skyteam rules https://c7.staticflickr.com/8/7198/2...3b24721b_z.jpg Food offer : very limited, very poor (really bad). A shame for an important AZ station and in a country where the food is excellent. Obviously, EY has not influenced yet that part of AZoperations. https://c3.staticflickr.com/8/7425/2...20e392fe_z.jpg Drinks offer : soft drinks, water, wines, prosecco. It's great that your took pictures, since it is now closed, because AF was forced to change terminals.
GIG website still list them in T1 |
Does anyone has information on the re-opening of AF lounge in ORY hall 3 ?

I just saw your post in the KL forum about the fact that AF lounge has just closed and that they now use the GOL VIP lounge. But I'm confused about your terminal change information : so they're not anymore in T1 ? And GOL was also in T1 unless I'm mistaken ?
GIG website still list them in T1 Yes, it never made sense that they continued operating it, but they did. Gol will move to T2 by next year, so it now makes sense that they are opening a new lounge. |

Gol's lounge at T2 is an inheritance from VARIG. Gol never operated at T2.

LUX lounge access
I'm an AZ Elite Plus member and flown LUX-CDG, ticketed by AF, operated by Luxair three times now. I have had varying success with lounge access. Twice I have been denied access and once they let me in with my Alitalia FF card. The explanations have also varied, e.g. had I been on a KLM ticket instead of Air France, they would have let me in. Had I been on a "platinum" level with Alitalia, they would have let me in, had I flown with an AZ coded ticket, they would have let me in etc.
LUX lounge is operated by Luxair but it's listed in the Skyteam online lounge finder. I asked Luxair for explanation for this varying practice and for a confirmation on the access policy. The answer I got was that KLM indeed pays the fee for all Elite Plus level passengers to be let in to the lounge but AF has agreed to pay the entrance to their own elites only, which is why my access has been denied. I think such a practice is strange and surprising and against the AF and Skyteam marketing. Or is this normal? |

Actually, according to AZ policy, you are only allowed access to non AZ/ST lounges when flying on an AZ flight.
