Lawyer to enforce AF passenger rights in France or Ireland?

My brother take a flight from DUB over CDG to GRU with AF. AF canceled the flight from CDG to GRU which should depart 23:30, so he got a hotel for that night. AF reschedule the flight several times, so finally he arrived 23:44 next day instead of 06:00 in the morning. I have a screenshot which proof that it was a technical fault why they wasn't on time. But the AF support said, that it was a technical problem which they couldn't find during planned maintenance, so they don't want to pay him the 600€. I could use online agencies like euclaim, flightright or fairplane but I think this case is without any doubt so it should be possible to get the full 600€ from them + they have to pay the lawyer.
I just know german lawyers but I think its better to get a lawyer at the place of jurisdiction. You know anyone in France or Irland which is specialized for passenger rights?

Has he sent them a formal demand letter? Many times if the case is clear then that will be enough. Send it by registered post.

I reckon you should mention in your correspondences you'll take them to court if they don't pay immediately. This might save you time and some hassle.

If your brother is still in Brazil, or has someone who can represent him there, I'd recomend suing in small claims court in Brazil. There is one at GRU just for these cases. And Brazilian consumerist law is actually pretty good. I've got over 1.000€ for delays of about 12 hours, depending on the situation.

As the OP's dispute is over AF's delay, I'll move this to the dedicated forum for AF. Ocn Vw 1K, Moderator, TravelBuzz

I'm searching for a lawyer in France or Irland, why should this be AF specific?

there is a good thread on the Miles and More board about how to formulate your letters demanding compensation. Otherwise use EUclaim - makes no sense to have a lawyer spend hours for so little money.
