This thread is dated, so I'll ask the question. If I'm flying JFK-CDG on AF on a paid F fare ticket and then connecting to NCE on a paid J fare ticket also on AF, will I have access to the La Premiere Lounge at CDG on my layover?

I've flown several times in the last year on paid F/La Premiere on AF from the US/Asia/Africa connecting to a domestic AF flight (which only offers economy but is sometimes listed as "business" on the ticket) and have always either been driven or escorted to the La Premiere lounge for my layover. Always.

Is the flight to NCE on a separate ticket? Since you specifically mention that this segment is also paid, it implies that it was booked separately?

I was actually refused entry to the Air France arrivals lounge in 2C a couple of weeks ago on an Economy ticket. I was a bit surprised, because I found the whole lounge access thing really consistent on SkyTeam, unlike the mess that Lufthansa and all that chickenwings stuff is. With the perks of elite status, I never assume I am going to get them, because I have had too many surprises. But if you're in the premium cabins you should get it.

Are you sure about that? AIUI, your flight must be AF/KL-marketed, i.e. carry an AF or KL flight number (at least if flying in Y). OTOH, I can't quite see why the ticket stock should matter.

I do understand that you were travelling on AF, however, because of the ticket stock purchased by China Southern and it not being their ticket stock was the reason you were denied. Their policy is, if it is not their stock, even traveling on their aircraft, you would not be allowed access. I hope this helps, and gain [sic] I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your loyalty.

Were you booked under AF or CZ code? If the latter, I would strongly suspect that the person did confuse ticketing carrier and marketing carrier in his or her answer.

Skyteam has no Arrival Lounge benefits. AF CDG 2C Arrival Lounge has its own rules. You not only need to arrive on AF longhaul premium cabin but also on AF/KL ticket stock.
