AF cancelled my ticket....again
Bought one of the RGN mistake fares and arrived yesterday into RGN to start on the trip tomorrow. Checked my reservation 2 days ago on AF.com and everything was in order. I even used 120000 FB miles to UG the SIN-CDG-JFK flights. Having another reservation cancelled on me by KLM last month I decided to recheck (actually check-in) for the flights tomorrow. Voila RGN-SIN was showing up but the SIN-CDG-JFK legs were missing. Actually my return JFK-CDG was missing but the CDG-BKK-RGN was still there. Spent over two hours contacting AF and DL and finally got the flights reinstated. The UG was processed for the SIN-CDG leg but its waitlisted for CDG-JFK
If I don't get the UG from CDG-JFK would I be entitled to any compensation as this flight was confirmed in F up until 2 days ago? There were 4 seats available in F when I checked EF 2 days ago so I was wondering if they decided to cancel my reservation in order to fill the cabin with revenue pax.

You really do strange things.
You book some mistake fare on travelocity or expedia and expect "compensation".
If you are "selling" miles (plus use mistake fares where AF does not even fly from RGN, so they are not issuing the ticket) be careful. They are increasingly investigating.

That happened to me once as well: I used my miles to upgrade 4 persons from C to F on CDG HKG almost 2 years ago (I flew C myself), everything was fine until a couple of days before departure and then suddenly the segments get cancelled (the etickets were still fine). After calling and having them investigating, the flights were properly rebooked and associated with the e-tickets. I had made some special requests at the Premiere lounge in CDG before and when we arrived they told us they were wondering if we would still travel as they could not see us in their latest list of passengers.
And for the record, this was also on a mistake routing (more original than a plain mistake fare

Got my ticket somewhat corrected. Flew on F SIN-CDG. On a WL from CDG-JFK. Asked about using thé Premier lounge hère and they said only full First Class tickets are eligible to use thé La Premier lounge. Is that right? Since I used 120000 FB miles I'm not eligible?

Your ticket was not cancelled, just the reservation dropped of, perhaps because the person processing the upgrade had not associated it properly with the eticket.
Then, for the premiere lounge, since you arrive in F at CDG and were connecting to an AF flight, you are entitled to the whole F ground service (pick up at aircraft, escort to the lounge and escort to your next flight). They do it even for a domestic Y flight CDG TLS. It does not matter the fare you pay (discounted F, full P, award or miles/cash upgrade to F). The only exception is in case of free operational upgrade from J to F, you get full F service in flight but only J service on the ground.

I spoke to two different agents at CDG and they insisted only full F gets to use the La Premiere lounge. Free tickets and FB mile upgrades are not eligible. I still think they were wrong.
After todays experience I'll never waste another FB mile for an AF F ticket. The product is on the same level if not lower than UAs or AAs. I've had better food in coach on a 13 hr flight. No wonder I was the only one in F from SIN-CDG. Couldn't have been more than 200 people total on the whole A380. The captain said it costs AF 160000 Euros for the fuel alone for that flight. I think AF took a bath on that flight.

The main point of AF F is actually ground service in CDG, that is why it is so horribly expensive. I find AF F ground service better than LH, LX, EK, CX and even SQ (when the AF lounge staff is not in a bad mood, that happened to me in the past. The Ducasse staff has always been great.). If you did not get F ground service, ask for a full refund as the in-flight product is not worth spending miles for, as you have understood. Have you flown to JFK in F as well?
