I will be arriving on Air France at Terminal 2E. The car service has directed me to go up to the departure level (level 2) to meet them. Is there an escalator from the baggage claim level up to the departure level? I prefer escalators as my son is phobic about elevators (lifts). Thanks!

Yes, there is. It is outside the baggage retrieval area; when coming out, you should see chairs for people waiting for arriving passengers, behind that a coffee shop; the escalator should be behind it, going the opposite way.
