What happened to # 524 CDG-CAI yesterday?

What happened to # 524 CDG-CAI yesterday?
Was "canceled". Subsequently flight #521 CAI-CDG was also canceled since there was no inbound aircraft.
Any ideas? Is this a common occurrence with the CDG-CAI route?
I am taking this flight in a few weeks and flight #521 is critical to our return to the States.....

I can't find anything about this routing yesterday, and the day before on Cairo
For today:
- Cairo:
AF503/01jan CAI 05h30 CDG 10h25. Due to technical reason, departure at 06h47 and arrival at CDG at 11h53.
AF508/01jan CDG 12h35 CAI 17h00. Due to ground staff shortage, departure at 14h15, estimated arrival in CAI at 18h26.
AF524 is only on Tuesday, thursday and saturday
Find an AF note in december about some cancellations in january and february:
