Poster tube carry-on?
Does anyone know if AC will allow a 42" poster tube as carryon on a US-bound flight? I can't run the risk of them forcing me to check it in at the gate.

I've never had a problem domestically, to the US, or to Europe, and I do it a fair bit. I would be very surprised to hear of you having problems with a poster tube as carry on.
|
I've seen many come on board. The challenge is whether passenger security and screening will allow them through. Generally, they do.
|
The only issues I've had are once through security at LHR T2 and once when an EI agent decided to get a bit uppity and try to tell us what security is going to let through (of course he was wrong).
But AC was great with it. Both domestically and internationally. |
And most of us are happy to stow them in forward cupboards (space & size permitting), on request.
|
I have transported them over 20 times with no problems at all.
