"Air Canada is introducing daily service to Bucharest, Romania on a codeshare basis via Frankfurt with its Star Alliance partner Lufthansa. The service begins June 15, 1999.

"With this service, Air Canada now offers customers 22 cities beyond Frankfurt with Lufthansa."

"Air Canada's daily flights between Toronto/Montreal/Calgary/Vancouver and Frankfurt will offer conveniently-timed flights for customers connecting to and from Bucharest. The daily Frankfurt-Bucharest service, operated by Lufthansa, offers customers a wide range of advantages including: accumulation and redemption of Aeroplan frequent flyer points, advance seat selection and business class seating."
